As a kid, I remember the Panaderia Suzette in Plaza Rio but it's not there anymore. It closed down about eight years ago and I really loved the bakery stuff. I am trying to find the BEST bakery possible in all of Tijuana. Creamy, cheesy, buttery, sugary, everything.

Does anybody have a favorite panaderia? I also remember buying handmade flour tortillas and bringing them back to the U.S. I'd put them all in the freezer and my mouth watered whenever I thought of putting butter and sugar on the lumpy tortillas.

Anyway... I am off to Tijuana soon and would like to know which one to go to.

I just wanted the biggest with plenty of options so I have a place to stay and wander for hours.

I tried Google Earth which shows streets and I've been unable to locate either.

I like La Vienesa too. Their cheesecake is good, not too sweet. Just right.

We tried the place at 5y10 and loved it. They had all my favorites and were way better than what we pick up at like Calimax and such. They have mexican wedding cookies with nuez that are the bomb.

I did go to the Panaderia La Mejor but they didn't seem to have enough selection, but it might've been because I came at around 5 p.m. and all the good ones were taken.

However, Wal-Mart on Blvd. Agua Caliente near Hipodromo had an EXCELLENT bakery. Tons of stuff to choose from. They even had hand-made flour tortillas and I bought five dozens only to find that the expiration dates on them were three days from the day I bought them. Boy, I was stuffed...

Yeah i was looking for a panaderia the other day. Other than the usual one we go to on Blvd. Cuauhtemoc, next to Calimax, cuz my wife was craving some pan, but something other than the usual. I had no idea where to go. But now i do.

Where exactly on Costitucion is the other panaderia La Mejor?

If you like La Vienesa, there is also La Vienesa Rio, wich is on Zona Rio, like half a block from City Hall, on Av. Independencia, and very easy to get ther from the U.S.

Hi,

One of my favorites is Panaderia Pagui which is close to baseball stadium. For more details about location, another "famous" nearby spots are Macroplaza and Fruteria Cañaveral. Please see the map that I am attaching.

If you want to try the typical mexican bakery taste, you have to go to Panaderia Pagui.
