The TJ Beer Fest (one of a couple craft beer fests in TJ) is coming again to CECUT on August 15 & 16. I attended this event last year and had a great time. https://es-es.facebook.com/TjBeerFest

If an american marries a Mexican in Mexico and wants to continue to live in Mexico for the time being. What is the best way to get the Mexican a visa? Some people say to get a K1 fiance visa because it is easier. But people say that you are required to live in the US after that. Some people say to just apply for a B1/B2 Temporary Visitor visa, but the nay sayers claim that it makes trying to convert it to a green card a nightmare down the road.
Also, much like government offices in TJ, all of this stuff is subject to change at all times and largely has to do with whoever is reviewing the application.
Anyone have recent experience with a situation like this?

I always thought it would be cool to go down to see the Mayan ruins. Quintana Roo is on my to do list. I would also like to go to DF just to say I was there.

I am curious how many times Mary Ellen has been pricked here in MX. Or how many times she has even seen a dirty needle being reused. (On Ave International does not count)

So technically, you never read what I posted about using my debit card. I said that I wasn't planning to use my debit card in TJ, I didn't say I wasn't going to be using pesos. Why would I even ask my credit union to exchange dollars for pesos anyway?
You didn't say you "weren't planning" you said you "won't use it". I too am confused why not? What happens when you need to buy something and you didn't pull out enough dollars? You going all they way back to the US for dollars?
If you are not going to exchange at your bank, and not pull pesos out of the atm. Are you planning on using Casas de cambio? I thought an ATM gives you an better exchange.
There are US banks that partner with MX banks and you can use their ATM's with little to no fees. You just have to find out which ones.

I can view the us from my house and my cell is usually on Telcel. I have the at&t via mexico plan which allows me to call to and from mexico with no additional charge. The house has a vonage phone with a US number. It comes in handy when people in the house need to call me when I am in the US.
