In Topic: Arrested Tijuana cops were hailed as models

5 top Tijuana cops accused of working with gang

Thanks HK70
Nice to see someone else can see it.
What scares me is the same thing that frightens the honest cops the ARMY they bust down doors, gates, windows in the name of what ever.
See my post LINK
I mean where does everyone live that they don't see this stuff I have been here a while but it is so obvious

This just is one of the few you hear about
Sorry this is the best I can do a Google translation
State accused of theft
Residents say their house is raided PEP took his things
Carmen Gutierrez
Rosarito, B.C. --
Breaking locks and doors, agents of the State Preventive Police (PEP) broke during early yesterday morning in a home in Colonia Lucio Blanco and although nobody was arrested, residents reported theft of their belongings.
It was about 3:00 pm when they heard the knock at the front doors of the home marked with the number 1036 located on Calle Pilar Valdivia of that colony, and a group of uniformed officers with badges and equipped PEP started register property.
Residents of three departments there are requested anonymity, fearing that police reprisals against them, when making your complaint given the violence with which they were treated.
One of them indicated that the police head turned all their belongings and took a television, a DVD, and other electronic items and even personal documents.
It said there were no detainees nor an explanation of their presence at home.

Maybe change should look something like this
Double prison time for crooked cops and crooked officials.
The Army needs to go back to being a army.
Get a real police force
Share some of the wealth with the citizens, example pay good police salary's.

Think about this who is getting the money?

US oil imports 2008
1 is Canada supplied the US with 716,000 thousand barrels US 34% imported supply.
2 is Saudi Arabia, with its 550,300 thousand barrels -15% of imports.
3 Mexico comes in third, supplying 12% of imports.

Well we have all seen some news cast on Middle East wealth, where is Mexico's? is it in the streets, schools, hospitals?

And before Gary says something like maybe we should just leave, let me answer since 9/11 we can't get papers or we would.
and we will keep praying for the day when safety comes back.

In Topic: Crime in Rosarito

26 August 2009 - 10:45 PM

Well it must be nice to live in such a crime free zone (NOT)
I live here and crime is under reported if anything.
If you want to know the truth ask your priest or pastor, they get the pleas for prayers.
The kidnappings continue right now as I type,

If you don't want to recognize the fact that crime is rampant here in Mexico.
Well that's OK. I have always admired positive thinkers, but this is not the time or the place.

But I am going to give my opinion which I have been holding back, watching the posts.

I have noticed that the people who seem to say there is no crime have something to gain by tourists or gringo dollars,
1. Real estate, salesman, developers, or just owners
2. Hotel owners
3. Restaurant owners
4. Politician that really is a business man
5.etc...........$$$ from tourists

Well I think we have done ourselves a very large disservice by.
1.Whistling in the wind (sometimes called hiding our gringo head in the sand),if I didn't see it Ill tell everyone it's OK so it must be OK right
2.Blame it on the cartels, by the way if they legalize drugs criminals will still be criminals just something different.
3.Turning a blind eye on corruption at ANY LEVEL,example paying a small bribe on the street, laughing and saying that's how it is.

What the disservice is now we have a very large battle ahead and we really do have crime out of control,
The government that hasn't done anything about it, Yet

Houses that at one time worth 350K, you now have to sell to a Mexican that can't cross, and most them know you can build a 1500 to 1800 sq ft house for under 55k

Now the economy is really suffering
The boarder crossing looks like its going to get longer,
The excuse is looking for guns, and drug money.
It has more to do with the 17% import tax now that the economy is in the toilet

The guns will cross the way they always have, small pieces, or bribe to custom official($500.00-1200.00per truck)

Check this link out I have heard this story for years
http://www.el-mexica...-federales.aspx
The above link has a English translate button

The truth will get rid of the crime.
Lying may get you a sale today but long term look what we have. Crime and Fewer tourists.

Yeah i know what you guys mean. Thanks for the input. If any other posters come in please leave your recommendations. I tell you guys, i was shocked at the price here in Cali. Then the light bulb in my head went on, and well now i am just going to stick to that kinda stuff here in TJ. Plus the dental office here in cali wanted me to come in like 6 times. I really don't think it will take that long. I am an in, getter done, an out kind guy. I dont have time to be taking days off of work. But your replies are helpful. Thnx.

I don't know your dentist but I had a friend that wanted to get a bunch done made a appointment when she could schedule 2-4 hours Just for him you might ask you dentist if he can do the same.

Somethings need at least two visits, have to wait for the swelling to normalize

Dave

The crime and kidnapping have killed the medical industry
Times are very slow for doctors ask for a good price you may be very surprised.

So many dentists that you guys recommend. Where do you recommend going? I need a root canal done, and put a crown on it. I also have an existing crown that has cracked and needs to be replaced with a new crown. And i need cleening. Where should i go and about how much do you guys think it will run me? Again, i hate dentist, bad experiences in the past, so am looking for gentile as possible. I know that does not exist but it's worth a shot

I do live in TJ but work in the U.S. I do have insurance, and went to do a check up here on the U.S. side. That's what they found i needed. My insurance covers most of it, but out of my pocket i still have to pay $2,700.00. I was like ohmy.gif So i am guessing that with that amount i can get a new mouth in TJ. So your guys' input would be appreciated in this matter. I have read the other post regaurding dentist, but am undecided at the time. Would appreciate guidance. Thanx in advance....

You will be very happy
A teacher that teaches future dentists in the morning works with her sister in the afternoon.
Very inexpensive had bridges crowns fillings every cavity since a kid changed to none amalgam
The way I remember it I did ALL for less than your deductible for one tooth.

The prices in Mexico are so good I have met people all the way from Germany getting work done.

You are doing the right thing anywhere you go for medical work of any kind check with others get two opinions at a minimum.
A problem you will run into in the medical profession is no one is willing to tell you about a bad doctor.
You need to talk to other patients.
