Army training kidnappers
Well I thought I would try my Mexican civic duty once again

The ROSARITO group the world is flat argument won me over. See Crime in Rosarito http://www.tijuanabl...?showtopic=1923
In fact I have proof that Baja is safe
I am still alive no one has killed me = so that proves there is no murder in Mexico its just a media fantasy from the USA
I didn't see anyone come in our house and take the plasma TV = so that proves there aren't any robbers in Mexico
I called Sony and tried to get them to give me another one because it evaporated they said "what?"
Point is I guess Sony doesn't stand behind their warranty they said everything was covered for One year. I guess evaporation isn't?

On a more serious note if we don't demand protection and quit pretending out of fear everything is just fine it will not change for the better.
A government should at a minimum protect it's citizens not harass them.

Army rule helps train the kidnappers let me tell you how.

Someone calls 089 says he saw someone through a window AT YOUR HOUSE that was tied up
or they have big guns and drugs or what ever,or they just don't like how you look.

The army will show up!
They will not have a warrant.remember your guilty you have to prove your not.
If your asleep(have a head set on,in the shower and don't hear the knock ) they will do what ever it takes to gain entrance to dwelling.
Some if not all will be wearing face masks and armed with full automatic weapons.
You will surrender!
They will look everywhere,closets, drawers,books, DVDs,computers.
They will tell you their sorry, in fact the method seems to be one officer will say something to the fact "we are just doing our job, please excuse us they had a anonymous tip", as the rest search (case) your home.
If they don't find anything(and by the way cash for rent is something),they will once again tell you they are sorry
At that point your just glad they left, and you try to fix your door or window, and in amazement ask your self what just happened?

Question:
What did the young soldier just learn on that raid.
Did he learn you can do what ever you want with a mask and a automatic weapon?
Answer:
Yes he did and he also learned that no one would call the police?
What does he talk about on weekend leave with his buddy's, how easy it would be to....do what ever someone wanted????

Now before you get mad at me for telling everyone how easy it is to get even with the neighbor with the loud stereo and good looking young wife by calling 089.
Let me say most people all ready know how.
I have seen this first hand three times
and from today's paper if i can believe it 4 times.

1. Police should handle crimes not the army, this fact has been documented all over the world.
2.Gun control doesn't work, its only to protect the elite they all have bodyguards and lots of guns.
3.We don't matter they have been talking about a honest police force for decades, give the police a reason to be honest.
4.How about double sentences for crooked cops or politicians.
5.You guys always have a lot to say what else would help stop the crime problem?

From the Frontera.info news paper, sorry about the poor translation
http://www.frontera....009/414744.aspx

ROSARITO, Baja California (PH)
For over an hour, Garcia Gonzalez family was seized by the abuses of a group of people dressed as soldiers who entered his home early guns drawn and demanded the surrender of a person nicknamed "The Güicho.
Mary Iris, told family members that were about 12:30 at night when they heard noises in the courtyard of the apartment located on the street colonial Mexico Constitution in Rosarito.

He said that as criminals, masked men jumped the fence was hit and kicked the home interior doors to open.

He said his mother, who is 50 years old and suffers from the spine, was marked and insulted by those who apparently were soldiers, and wearing a khaki uniform camouflaged, but never identified as such.

The woman said the two-story house is individual, so that first came to the bottom where his brother and then the second floor where she and her mother live along with their son and husband.

"They came in and out of different doors slamming inside their homes, looking for a certain 'Güicho', and were interrogating the men kneeling and pointing weapons, regardless of the place were three," he said.

The soldiers had arrested a subject that apparently was what led to the house and told them that such "Güicho" was his brother, but after several interrogations were convinced it was not the person they sought and left the house without say nothing, detailed María Iris.

He also said he filed a complaint against the person responsible for this abuse of his family that he was subjected to the prosecutor.

I think you should move back to states . I have been in my neighborhood for over a year and not one robbery, murder, or kidnapping. If I had the luck you have, I would live in a cave in Montana so I would feel safe.

well, telling him to move back may not be the nicest thing to do. Just because one, or 100 people have lived here 1 or 100 years without a robbery or whatever, does not mean its like that for everyone. You can not judge the crime, by what happens at your house. maybe you have nothing they want...

I think we that live here, has rejected any claim that its dangerous here, to justify ourselves living here to others.. And in fact it is pretty safe for Gringos here, as most of the crime is bad against bad, or bad against police... BUT there is the occasional gringo targeted, and in fact it doesn't mater if its a good gringo , or a good Mexican, if we are to live in a country that is not ours, we should at least see the locals as Just as, or more important than us... SO any crime, against good people should be reported, and followed up with. Because the original poster is correct, if noone says anything, Nothing will happen. It seems in this culture, initiative isn't taken voluntarily , very easily, so there needs to be people pushing, and demanding things be done. Just because there is a drug war, doesn't mean crime not drug related doesn't matter.. there needs to be a happy medium.

Just to note, I was robbed, Friday and all in all they got about 2,000 bucks worth of goods.. I am lucky as it could have been much much worse! BUT I have lived in Mexico in different places for over 3 years now and this is the first time I was robbed, and the robbery itself I was partially to blame for being careless!

Sorry to hear you were robbed. You are right crime happens anywhere. Yes sometimes I feel I have to justify myself for living here. All I hear about is crime here. I lived in San Fransico and was robbed. My car was broken into Las Vegas, but you don't hear people telling you daily how dangerous it is to live in those places. I do feel safe here.

I live in TJ, not Rosarito (happy I can say I live in TJ now) and for the most part I feel safe, but I am very weary from all of the media hype about the dangers and the 1000 times I have had to answer why in the hell I am moving here from Ohio. Although, yesterday we were in the parking lot of Telnor in some plaza by the 5y10 when we saw this guy running by with a purse and 3 security guards running after him. As we pulled out of the lot, he was across the street and running with his pistol in plain sight. It scared me pretty good because just a minute before I was dozing in the truck with the windows ajar with my sleeping son waiting for my husband. He could have easily approached my car. He was told by the municiple police that purse snatching is big right now. I don't take a purse anywear we go. I guess Oxxo is the most popular place this occurs. I will say I feel safer than I expected. We have 4 locks on our door and live up 8 flights of stairs in a very quite and well lite neighborhood. I am sorry to hear of crime happening to anyone.

Times are tough right now. I wouldn't be surprised if he was stealing for food. What will happen to the USA if they go double dip into a recession(Depression), alot more crime i guess. Anyway, enjoy TJ, just watch your back. Not to scare you, just keep your eyes open to everything around you.

Sorry I dont buy the stealing for food thing.. yes I know its tough fro some... BUT I would venture to guess 99.999% ofpeople that rob here are NOT doing it to Eat.. it's either drugs or for other illicit reasons.. There are jobs in Mexico as I see signs looking for help all the time.. and , if he really was just wanting food.. well a few hours begging or "watching" peoples cars would get him enough to eat... Sorry, I do not buy those excuses.. because it's those excuses that the police use to be crooked over here, but it too is a crock of *&$# !!! If i see someone on the street and they really look hungry and ask me for money, I will either give them money or go get food... and most other people would do the same thing!!! So purse snatching is not excused for ANY REASON... Mexico is NOT that bad off.. its actually pretty well off compared to most MANY MANY other countries... I just wonder if he told the lady his story about starving and asked for money from her before taking her purse with a gun?? Oh and why would a simple hungry guy be having a gun in mexico when they are illegal and hard to come by?? I am a card carrying member of the ACLU, and I am very Liberal.. BUT there is no excuse for armed robbery!, PERIOD!

You are way outta line we me, talk like that to my face, i would of swung at you.

Such anger and violence.. You must be hungry also!

Chill out! and don't be so narcissistic, and don't get so mad when people disagree with you! I feel very passionate about people that commit violent crime, and I also feel passionate about those who excuse it it any way! You have your opinion and I have mine, but don't get Angy at me, I never personally attacked you as you did me... We are all grown and civilized here i assume? People feel different about different things, it doesn't mean one must get very angry and take someones differing opinion as a personal attack!

Wow, I just reread my post, and yours, and I am laughing its so funny that you took it that way!!

dude, i never attacked you to start with, I disagreed with you because I feel strong about what we were talking about. You are the one who attacked me for disagreeing with you! It happens, and most people do not come out with threats of fighting for disagreeing. Find one thing in my original post that was personally attacking you... NOTHING.. so chill out and pick a fight elsewhere!
