Ditto on that - I suspect an attempt at flippancy?

I don't know why somebody would mention Detroit either.I made sure to post this article on myspace blog and posted several bulletins about this barbarian. It really bothers me that this guy only served 36 hours jail time. However, the US needs to give stiffer sentences also, I cannot count the cases I've heard about where some jerk gets probation or community service.

so is he from detroit or new orleans?

Yes, I heard about that guy when I was at the spay& neuter clinic in Rosarito. It really bothers me when I see this kind of stuff.I will post the link on my mspace profile.

It makes me wonder why the hell why we can't spay& neuter humans

I learned Spanish while in college and from my Mexican husband. I also work with many Spanish speakers. I think the key is to submerge yourself and don't be worried you will be laughed at. People appreciate the effort, just make sure they correct you when you are mistaken. I learned to read and write first and the speaking came much later. I considered myself fluent when I began dreaming in Spanish. Good luck!

As a child my mom, grand parents, and other relative would speak to me in Spanish, but they never taught it to me .I am improving my Spanish by merely asking question's and observing. My challenge is rolling my r's but I am confident that I can improve eventually.

It really makes me feel ignorant not knowing my own culture & language, but I know I can improve little by little.

Libertad is not as crime-ridden as it was 20 years ago, but it's still predominantly a lower working class colonia, and thus has among the lower rents in town. If I were going to live there, I'd make sure the residence or apartment complex had secure off-street parking if I had a vehicle; strong doors, and bars on the windows.

I went to check out a place in Libertad, but I didn't care for the area to be quite honest with you.I prefer living Colonia Independcia because it's relatively quiet, decent neighbors, and I'm about a 10- 15 minute walk to centro which works out just fine for my needs
