I just saw it in passing, so there aren´t any specific directions at this point. However it is on Calzada Tecnologico between the UABC university campus and the Gigante across from Delegación Mesa de Otay thats located before passing the neighborhood recreational center and 066 emergency dispatch before turning towards Postal.

More will be posted soon when I check it out in detail.

My ex-wife was Ecuadorian... their food is very similar to Peruvian... I liked the food, but I got tired of the wife

Libertythor gives the best directions I have ever seen. He will get you directions for the buses, cabs car and even airplane

I have it in Peru many years ago. Not bad, but sort of greasy and not too much meat.

Lomo saltado isn't guiena pig. Lomo saltado is a dish most gringos will enjoy. Guinea pig (qui) actually is sort of poor man's food. I never saw it served in restaurants; I saw it in the sierra and among those who'd come down from the mountians. The guinea pigs are usually raised at home and eaten by the family that raises theml.

Guinea Pig sounds like it would be tasty if prepared right. From experience, I can tell you that squirrel, rabbit, and opossum are very delectable.

Hey guys. Sorry for the delay in getting a report posted on here. I have been short on cash recently, but look to having a full report within a couple of weeks.

BTW I have no clue as to how to say Guinea Pig in Spanish! I will check a few online dictionaries. ...It may be poor man´s food, but some famous chef may popularize it one day, and we will see it in specialty stores for 9 bucks a pound!!! LOL

After the Gigante in Tomás Aquino, heading towards the UABC on Calzado Tecnológico, it is on the right hand side. It is called "Sabor Peruano".

can we start from the via rapida?

Ok.....

1. Take the Via Rapida east from Centro.

2. Get off on the "Mesa de Otay Exit. If you miss the UABC turn-offs (as they are easily passed) emerge onto Blvd. Industrial Industrial and make a U-turn at the next light.

3. Now stay in the lanes indicated for UABC by the signs.

4. You will then pass by Plaza Americana (Where there is a cinema and small shopping mall. Cafe Siglo XX is a good place to do karaoke or play pool.)

5. You are now bearing onto Calzado Tecnológico.

6. You will pass a IMSS Hospital and a Ley supermarket to your left.

7. To your right you will see the campus of the UABC

8. Halfway past the campus there is a pedestrian bridge.

9. Go ahead a prepare by being in the left lane.

10. Once you have passed the Calimax to your right, look out for the Gigante to your left.

11. Take the first available U Turn.

Now on that side of the road....now your right....you will pay attention to everything immediately after the Gigante plaza. Take a turn into the strip of stores after you pass those of the Gigante. Drive down the strip until you get to the place.

Cuy sure wasn't like "chicken" to me, but then again there many different methods for preparing it.
