Anyone know good places for live music in Tijuana? Anything from Jazz to Rock...just no frickin woomp wooomp rave music or norteno banda music.....

Well, in Plaza de zapato (in front of plaza rio) they have some good rock bands that play in a couple of the bars. I like sambuca's and also pancho villas. Monte Picacho also has a band that plays.

Yeah I never go there enough I remember one place I went with a live beand that SUCKED....but hopefully that place got a new house band....

Just my opinion, but I generally think the live bands in Plaza Fiesta suck. There was a live band that played in Monestario that was pretty good - all they did were rock / alternative covers.

Yeah I'm just SICK of frickin banda music...all those matching outfits make me want to throw up....and every songs sounds too loud and exactly the same beat....

There's a small place in Plaza Fiesta called Azotea that has a pretty decent live band... they mostly play covers of rock songs Spanish and English.

I will have to get a Plaza Fiesta group together.....It's been a long time since I've been over there. High drink prices always keep me away...I end up at Las Pulgas where where I bunch around to banda all night and just get wasted on 10 dollar buckets....
