My GF mentions the other day how much she likes this stuff and wished she knew where to get some.
WELL I told her I would do some investigating so where are my investigators ?

Big Lou... Ryu showed me the menu he has and they have it on Saturdays... not sure if it's every Saturday, but it was on last weeks menu for October 14th...

I can't say if it's any good or if it compares to traditional barbacoa de res, but it's woth a shot.

Tacos Chuleta is located at the southwest corner of 5th and D in Centro. It's my favorite taco stand in centro.

Ave D is also known as Ave F. Martinez, going west from Revo (A), > Constitucion (, Niños Heroes ©, F. Martinez (D).

Even if they don't have BBQ'a de Res, what they do have is very good.

I went to Las Chuletas finally and wasn't impressed...didn't even ask about Barbarcoa....

There is a place called Colibri located in or on 20 of Nov and 10 de Octubre......something like that

can't find anyone that can give me exact directions so I haven't made it there either..........

Biglou do you mean La Chuletas in Centro? They've gone downhill the past few years and they seem to go up every year in price too.

the one that is on Martinez and 7th, 8th street....that is the one and it was horrible......
Went there about 2-3 months ago.....

Martinez & 5th. Many people like it but taste is subjective.

Barbacoa also refers to a distinct style of barbecueing...often in a pit in the ground. People here have described it to me.

LOL Makes sense. The Arawaks were famous for cannibalism. Interesting how it entered into general Spanish and eventually English.... LOL Barbecue is even in English often used to refer to something negative happening to a fellow human.

Like the old childish elementary school song:
