La Costa
8131 7th St
(7th between Revolucion and Constitucion)
Downtown Tijuana
011-52 (664) 685-3124

La Costa has a dedicated following, who will probably disagree with me. To me La Costa is now overrated and overpriced. Although it is still a good place to eat, to me it isn't as good as it once was. However, I don't know of another/better upscale seafood restaurant down town. (Which I think is part of the problem.)

They have another location, down in La Mesa that might be a little less
mobbed.

Three of us had dinner for about $400.

It is on Blvd. Diaz Ordaz more or less where Bernardo O'Higgens runs into it.

It's got decent food, but is far overpriced IMO. The free fried fish appetizers with a bowl of clam chowder and a salad can aid with the cost. I've tried 2 seperate fish dishes there that were horrible and will not try their fish entrees again. The bacon wrapped shrimp has always been good though.

I ate there with my GF and mommy. Total bill ran about 50 dollars for 3 people which was a bargain in my opinion. Decent place is you want good seafood close to Rev ave. If you want the best seafood in town go to Los Arcos. The dessert was the best part of the meal it was a liquor flavored custard if i am not mistaken and i wish I had 2 smile.gif
Tijuana is much more than Revolution ave

This restaurant was the flagship of the Pedrín family. It is sad to mark its passing.

The family's last remaining restaurant might still be found in Real del Mar. I can't say with any certainty. Perhaps someone else might chime in?

Try Rabelos instead. Not quite the atmosphere (or cockroaches) as La Costa, but very good seafood. Located in Zona Rio in the same shopping center than Pampas. It's in the corner by Subway. Parking is sometimes hard to get in this shopping center, but the food here is excellent. Good service and prices also.
