Hi, I was wondering if anyone else had a similar strange experience.

I have an apartment in Fracionamiento Agua Caliente, which is where the Twin Towers are located.  This area is very popular with expats and many of the Consular staff at the U.S. Consulate also live here.

About a week or two ago, Groupo Zeta suddenly cut off my gas service.  When I called, the reply I got was because they had upgraded my gas meter.  Somehow, in the process of doing so, they messed up on the connection and cut my service off.

This is incredibly strange.  I have never had anything like this happen before in the U.S.  Has anyone had any similar experience? thanks.

Saludos!

Welcome to living in Mexico.  I have yet to have my gas cut off the 4 1/2 years I have lived in TJ. But I have too numerous to count disruptions in water and electric service which was not due to not paying the bill.  You have to have patience living in Mexico and learn to roll with it IMHO.

Agreed.  Things you take for granted like working electricity, sewer system, banks, police act as crime deterrent, do not always exist in Mexico.  With that being said, the chaos does bring freedom, and as a U.S. citizen, I can always retreat to the states whenever I get tired of the scene.

Agreed. Just one of the many reasons that I moved back to San Diego.
