Once everyone in their brother gets a Ready Lane pass it won't be any faster than regular lanes...and you've succumbed to "legal extortion" by the U.S. government.

So they new ready lanes for crossing on foot at the SY border have been there for a few weeks now.  The first week or so was horrible.  Everyone backed up before you walk thru the turnstyles to get into the US.  This week they now have painted lines on the Mexican side so ready lane people line up on right and others on the left.  If you have Sentri just cut all the way to the front as usual.

Prior to entering the customs building there are four ped lines.  Handy capped, other, ready lane and sentri.  When you get up close to the agents there are readers where you swipe your passport or various cards so now the agents will call you to approach them.  Not sure if this saves much time or not.

I used the new ready lanes last week.  The general public line was really long, I couldn't even see the end of it.  I went to the front of the line, got into the ready lane, waited about five minutes to get to the front, and used the kiosks for the second time, but I can't see where the kiosks save any time, though.
