Anyone recommend a place that plays the same music as Animale but not as ghetto? Preferrably not on Revo either ...

Rony check out the hotspots in Rosarito.
Iggys, Papas and Beer etc..
They all play Reggeaton, Rap and old school with some spanish flava mixed in. Nothing really like that except on Revo and Rosarito

Thanks for the heads up ... we did head over to Iggy's one night. Any spots in TJ that play similar music?

There's this nice looking place off the rapida in a small strip mall just before you get to Plaza Rio ... been meaning to check that out.

Turns out this place is called "Gatos" and it's been there for a while. Something like a $10 cover and all you can drink. Mostly locals and few tourists.

Good to hear! I really like that area. I am all about Gypsies especially Friday night (aft 9pm) when they got the Flamenco going on. I really dig Flamenco.

Cats is unique because it never seems to lose their crowds to newer clubs. Some clubs in TJ close for a few months, remodel and change names to keep the crowds coming back.
At one point they were charging 20 dollars admission. I havent been there in years.

A place that I used to like in Plaza Fiesta was called Cinque. It was a Coffee bar that had a dance floor and good music that wasnt blasting in your ear. Of course they served liquer too smile.gif
They have good dancable music and a decent crown in the mid to late 20's
