If salsa merengue is your thing some time ago there was a high end club called SCRATCH but they turned it now into MENEALO (means SHAKE IT) in english all salsa merengue reall high nergy great place lots of down to earth girls always willing to dance and price for beers and tequila is fair plus the great thing is they have a live group with 2 really gorgeous ladies singing some of the best salsa merengue hits youll love it. Directions when you cross the border just go straight as if you were going to PLAZA RIO when you get to the first round about turn as if you were headed back once you turn its the second or third street on your right hard to miss!

Maybe interested but your directions are not very good.
First circle and then walk back???
What the heck does that mean?
How 'bout a street address? Close to? There are many ways to get to Plaza Rio.
You talking about the roundabout by McDonald's or the one by Ley? depending upon which gate you enter Mexico.
Is your message a Paid Advertisement? so to speak?

Yea, billed as a singles party but personally don't see why anyone can't go; I don't like trying to put people into categories; I was single; then married; then divorced; am I single again? formerly married? divorced?
Those boxes on forms are so confusing!!!!!! LOL

That's kinda' why I did that 'any TJ Blogger' thing last saturday; I don't care what religion, marital status, race, sex, etc anyone is.

Just go; unless, of course, you are afraid I'll sweep your wife off her feet.

Just kidding; unless she is really into 60+ men???

Hello everyone. New to this site. I am brainstorming to go to TJ for New Years. I have heard great things about Menealo. Would any of you have a phone number for that place? or a website? or an email address? I'd like to know what their plans are for New Years, price, hours and all that.

Could somebody help me?

The company that owns Menealo is Pepe & Co. Their website is here: http://pepeco.com.mx/

Don't see any information on Menealo.

I was there about 1 - 1.5 years ago. It was very different that the 'average' Tijuana disco. Live music, older crowd than the avg 20 year old.

Yeah I really like Plaza Fiesta a lot too ... favorite place is Sotano Suizo - more of a bar than a club that plays familiar music. Just a nice place to chill - also Monestario which has a pretty cool interior and sometimes pretty good live bands Fri / Sat night.
