I have stayed here several times. It is a multi-story affair with a large display of collectable coins and stamps in the front window, and is safe, clean, convenient and hassle free and Comparable to a well run Motel 6 stateside . Its on 5th between Constitucion and Revolucion. I paid 25 dollars for a one bed two years ago, and the "penthouse" suites (with two beds) last year in summer was $48 a day, (a good view of Tijuana) and it was cheaper afterwards by a few dollars with a Visa credit card (the exchange was favorable with a US based card).

Get a quiet room opposite the street, or it can get a little noisy with the revelers late a night especially Friday and Saturday, but that is one of the charms of TJ, yes.

This establishment takes credit cards and they are one of those places where you don't have to worry about credit card theft. Been going here for years, and never a problem.

forgot to mention that the staff is open to the fact that registered guests might want to bring in others guests, but it would be a good idea to develop a rapport with the English speaking staff before you do that.
A 24 hour pharmacy is down the street on the same block on the corner of Constitucion. An okay 24 hour restaurant going in the other direction on the same block, and a couple of local cantinas (so what else is new?).

Its really centrally located to everything. The safest parking in TJ is a half block away. A 24 hour restaurant is on the same side of the block as is a 24 hour pharmacy. Several dance clubs within a block, with the Blanco & Negro Club only a block away, where you will find a disproportionate number of unattached single women to men - lucky guys(!!). And your between Revolucion, the main street for tourists, and Constitucion, the main street for the locals. Talk about convenience!!

I have a question, I am planning to get into TJ about 6-7p this Friday (via Mexicoach), grab a cheap hotel for the night and visit a dentist (Washington Dental) Saturday morning. Will I have issues getting into Hotel Paris on a Friday night. Since I haven't been into TJ for a couple of years I was wondering if some frequent travelers could give me some advise.
Is this a workable plan.?
Thanks

Shouldn't be any problem with getting a room at any of the downtown hotels this Friday.
But if you're going to be getting off Mexicoach at its depot on 7th and you're going to the Washington Dental Clinic on Revolución near 9th, then you might want to consider staying at the Hotel Zaragoza, which is just 2 blocks from both of those locations. It's located one block east of Revolución on Madero about half way between 7th & 8th. Same side of the street as Tortas Ricardo, which is at the corner of 7th & Madero. It's nice and the rates are about the same as Hotel Paris. Phone 685-1832.

Yes, it is a workable plan. You can also cross the border on foot and take a taxi Libre for about $5 direct to Hotel Paris. Personally, contrary to bajashrink's recommendation, I prefer the area between Revolucion and Constitucion versus Revolucion and Madero, because there are a lot of people who are shopping ( Revolucion for the tourists and Constiucion for the locals ), and you need a certain amount of street savvy to navigate Madero at odd hours, but to each his or her own. I like Hotel Paris because for my recurring purposes( I am a used clothing dealer/exporter)it is centrally located - although I have been thinking of using the Grand Hotel Tijuana and Bob's Big Boy(see the restaurant posts) for my meetings. Forgive me, if I seem I am prying, but, also, if you plan on using your room for some horizontal mambo sessions, or just need a little more peace of mind, you should get a Sentry Keep/Safe Portable Locker( online, one can be snagged for $15 to $20, so I imagine you can get one at a sporting goods store easily enough for a reasonable price), or something comparable, to secure your wallet, keys, et al, it has a chain that can fasten to the bed frame or some other place that can be looped around that can't be removed, and ensure that you, unlike the protagonist in the George Strait song, the Seashores of Old Mexico, don't lose everything to a "bad senorita that made use of one innocent lad".

I've stayed there a lot, it's my go-to hotel. I believe, and have heard from others, that the staff is very trustworty there. For valuables, I've always used their safe deposit boxes that are behind the front desk. It's the two-key system, like in a bank. I just put that key on the room keyring, and take the plastic room number tag off while i'm carrying it around. I like the location a lot, barely a block to the ATM that seems pretty safe, on Const, and one more block to a really good tamale place on the far left corner on N.H. Next trip i want to walk down the other way, toward Madero. Read about a 'Dandy Bar' that's supposed to be kind of fun. Never heard of the Blanco and Negro club!
