I have a friend (Mexican) who lives in Independencia, so I go there on a regular basis. Seems ok. I like the location. Near the border as well as stores. It's set up fairly well for someone who doesn't drive a car with many small stores scattered about and taxi libres (or colectivos) cruising around.

Thanks! I do have a car, well, I actually have a minivan, but I try not to drive everywhere so as to save on gas.

How is the parking there? Is it mostly street parking, or do the apartments have gated parking?
