I'm buying a home in a good neighborhood in Tijuana and want to rent it out for several years before I eventually move there. Does anybody know of a reputable property management company that operates in Tijuana? This is a nice brand new home (~2600 sq ft) 3BD/3.5BA with granite everywhere, great view, inside a gated security guarded privada. It's in an area most gringos would not be interested in (on the mountain above the Recta/Country club area). It would probably end up being rented to a Mexican professional or business owner with a family, so I'm specifically trying to stay away from gringo management.

There doesn't seem to be any property management firms I can find on the internet. I have the seller's agent (with mipropiedad.com) willing to do it, but I'd prefer a real management company where I don't loose management when/if a specific person leaves the company.

Any recommendations?

It's going to be very challenging to find a reputable property management company especially if you are not there to check frequently. Property management companies here are not comparable to those in the U.S. (which the majority of them are not so great either). Most people in real estate here in Baja move around from one agency to another and sometimes they take commissions on the side. So again it's going to be very challenging. And don't believe everything they tell you either as that's another problem here as most of them will tell you what you want to here rather than what is reality.

In case anyone is interested, I've been working with mipropiedad.com.mx on property management. It's somewhat new to them (they're a real estate broker) but they're willing to modify the contract they previously showed me that had a very limited management service that included only finding tenants and qualifying them. They changed one months rent for every year of lease.

I asked them to set up a contract that included full service. Find the tenants, collect the rents, and repair anything as-needed with their payment being a percentage of the rent. Also found a couple of leads on property management on craigslist.org, but I would much prefer to go with an established company.

I actually bought my place through them, as a double agent (seller and buyer). Can you tell me how much they are charging you? or what percentage of the rent? I have furniture so I was thinking about renting out my place furnished.

So far they haven't come back with a different contract for a full service type of management that I requested. Their price just for finding tenants was 8.33% (1 month for every 12 months of lease they get signed). I found a guy advertising on Craigslist for full service, but that would be a last resort for me. I may write up a contract myself for mi propiedad and ask them if they'll accept it. Doing things in Mexico so far seems to take 3x more time and 4x more effort than here in San Diego.
