Baja Craft Beers will have its own Tasting Room
To open on August 10

The Tijuana based distributor will open its own Tasting Room next August 10 with over 30 beer keg taps and a huge variety of bottles and beers from the region as well having beers from the South of California and the US.

The tasting room will be located on the place formerly known as El Origen (on the backstreet where the Tangaloo nightclub used to be). “We will have a lot of beers” said Rubén from BajaCraft while he poured a glass of Betta Bretta, a collaboration between Lost Abbey and New Belgium.

A little spoiler we can give you is that the lamps are made of beer kegs; the venue has an urban style with metal rods, stones and a rustic-modern style reminiscent of a garage. They will offer a wide selection of snacks and appetizers to go with the beers; the place is shaping up as a successful site.

It is the first tasting room in the city that features craft beer taps and I think it is a very important step forward for the movement; besides La Tasca and Beer Box this is what the city needs.

Zesde Cervecería (us) also promises to open its own tasting room but it will be until the end of 2013. We will see what happens, long live local beer and the taste buds revolution.

I am surprised with all the popularity of craft beers in the US that no one has opened one yet. I will have to check this out.
