Hello, Can anyone tell me where I can search for employment postings?

My boyfriend lives in Rosarito and has been struggling to find a job. He has been doing some construction work and tells me work has been really slow. Unfortunately he doesn't know that many people since he recently moved there. He does speak fluent english and spanish.

PLEASE can anyone point me in the right direction? I live in the U.S. and wish I could do something to help. Any responses are appreciated.

I found my job here off craigslist. There are also postings on vivastreet.com and in the papers. I know there is a factory in Colonia La Reforma in Rosarito that is hiring call Tensho.

I noticed that most people in tj have a job...even if it's just handing out flyers at a strip club. Are people inclined to hire gringos without documentation down here?? or do they usually want a FM3 VISA ?? I guess farm labor is out of the question...ahaha

I thought the average daily wage in tj was $8 a day. With a sentri pass i can see where it would be possible to work in san diego and live in tj.

Wow, well my BF says it's tough finding work and I feel really bad about this. Knowing I have food on my table every night. Are times really that hard or does this sound like an excuse?

I have read before that over half of the Mexican population lives at the poverty level. The average wage per week is about 500 pesos.

Unless you have really special skills then yes I think it will be hard to find a job. And if you do find a job you will not be paid as you were in the US.

Sadly he was stripped of citizenship (for the stupidity of carrying joints in pocket, understandably US laws don't mess around) and was deported with no chance of return for reinstatement of status .

Now I'm wondering if someone in a situation like that can obtain a passport and visa, or even (lets ridiculously suppose) a pardon? Or can someone petition him again?

ANYONE GOT A CLUE AS TO THIS?

Initially, I think it is hard for people who come from the US to work in MX because the is a difference in wages. I work in TJ and in one day I do NOT make what I made in 1 hour working in the US. Eventually he will come around.

The high paying job market is getting pretty bad down her for Americans. The factory industry has been taking hits for years and slowly closing one by one. Now they are looking for multilingual applicants that can speak English, Chinese/Japanese and Spanish.
With all the local lingo and spanglish it can be hard to communicate.

There will always be $150.00- 200.00 or so a week jobs for Americans if you look but the ones that pay big are disappearing quick.
