I am trying to get my FM3 visa. I am curious if anyone else on here has theirs? I will still cross daily for work, so it should be a Temp Resident. According to the website http://consulmexsd.o...mexican/fm3.htm I need to be over 55. (I'm not close). Is there a different type of FM3 I should be using?

I got one in 2005 and I was not close to 55. I saw on the internet that there are 13 types of FM3's.

Here is article on FM3's

So today I learned that you CANNOT get an FM3 at the Mexican Consulate in San Diego.

Why waste the time on an FM3 just get the FM2 right away??
If you already have your fm3 your out of luck have to wait 5 years to get FM2 but if you have nothing you can get an FM2 right away..

If you need assistance on how to do this just right me a message.

Ummm..... that's a good question. What's the benefit? It's a step to becoming a citizen but I am not really sure I want to be.

The benefit would be what if after living for 2 years with your FM3 you decide you want to own property without a trust or want to stay here forever if you have an fm3 you have to wait 8 more years. If you get an FM2 you are 3 years away.
