I am not sure where it is but I would guess it is in the eastern part of TJ. I am just going to take a Taxi Libre there if I end up going which I plan too.

I asked one of my TJ employees where the baseball stadium was and they said it is in Eastern part of TJ but said it is not easy to find. They said taking a cab would be best if you interested in going. I am interested in checking it out so I may have a report on Monday.

Well I made the trek out on Saturday to see a game. My buddy gave me free tickets for Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Could not find anyone that wanted to go so I went to the 4pm Saturday game. It was suggested I not hang out there for the night game.
Paid Taxi Libre 150 pesos from near the border to the estadio de beisbol. It is basically in the middle of a neighborhood. As you sit in the stands you look up and you see the Jesus Christ is El Senior that is written on the moutain in Eastern TJ.
The estadio was not that bad, I guess I was expecting worse from someone I spoke too.
Tix were 80 pesos and were good for two games.
Plenty of families and kids running around. The estadio started filling up the later the day went on.
I saw Mexicali beat Culiacan. The score was like 12 to 3. Game started at 4:45pm and ended 7:45pm.
About 4 or 5 of the 20+ edecanes were drop dead 10's in my book
I was burnt out after 3 hours of baseball so I thought I best get out of there at 7:45pm. They were going to have a homerun derby and then start the 2nd game.
I figured that I would just catch a cab when they were dropping off someone for the 2nd game. There is when I encountered my problem. I exited the stadium but only a few other people were leaving. Right out front of the entrance is the neighborhood but no taxi's were going by. I started walking a few blocks to some stores that I saw thinking the main drag was around there. Not much traffic and I was starting to get a little nervous since I was not familiar with the neighborhood and I was not sure if I was walking further into the abyss. About 10 minutes go back and a taxi libre drives by so I flag it down. I was not in the mood to negioate and just wanted to get out of there. I told him 200 pesos to my casa and he said ok.
All in all I had a fun time but it is a drive to get to. I had tickets for Sunday and planned on going but I just did not want to cab it all the way there and then search for a cab again so I did not go.
I took some pic's of the park and some of the game where I was sitting. I will try and post them here whenever I have time.
