Well guys it seems like Col. Cacho has another hidden little slice of New York, by now we all know of Tony's Original New York Pizza but there's another place that deserves you try it out is NOT a restaurant but if you like great pastry's this is the place!!!
Its called BIG APPLE bakery its on Colima St. in Col. Cacho its a very tiny place that looks more like a house then a bakery but Pastry Chef Cesar Santana worked in the best restaurants in NY and know he has hes place were they have the best NY style cheesecake in town, also great is there carrot cake you guys need to check it out hes phone number is 687-4760 or 619-476-2054. Ooh and by the way he also makes great Lasagna!!

He told me that he was going out of business about a year ago. I like the Cheesecakes at 7th and Rev better though. I cannot remember the name, but it is a French bakery.

Great info! Cheesecake is a big hit with my family and Cannolis are a "must have" in any NY Style Bakery in my opinion! They are not that hard to make either...love the chocolate chips ones! I need someone that makes a nice Stromboli and a Butcher with a good Braciole!

It's called: El Cafe Frances, I used to eat and drink there all the time back in the mid-90s. Pastries are great there and the coffee too..!!!

The best cheesecakes for sure is Beaven in Playas every flavor imaginable and worth every penny!!! They are small but the cheesecake ROCKS!
