i dine out a lot. i like trying new places as well.
gonna try to liven this section up a bit.
any tips or recomendations?
channel 4 on cablemas has lots of ads.

wife and i have been trying to get to a restaurant. But opt not to because of the little one. He is good for a couple of minutes, but then starts not co-operating. And i don't like that. People go out to dinner to chill and relax. So we just hang at home. Grandparents cannot baby sit because they are in whittier, CA so that is a ways away....

But yes chanel 4 has good reviews, and we want to go to those places....

Good for You CB! We need someone to do that! I am a " Foodie" myself but no time to review...I will look forward to a little more life in this section.. and Thank-you!
I am just sorry that you have to try the good with the bad, but I guess that makes it an adventure.

We watch that channel all the time. The commercials can be funny because the restaurants are never like that in real life.

I made a list of 12 restaurants from the reviews and we are hitting 1 a month.

The best interview I've seen so far is with the Yogurt express restaurant.

How about listing some of the places you like to eat with directions of where it is located.

I am going down the list of the resturants we alraedy have threads on and going to try to hit as many as possible while I have my friend staying with me.

Several places I've enjoyed-

Saverios (Paseo de los heroes I think. Near TGI Fridays)
Cien Anos (near Grand Hotel area)
Mision 19 (Near Hotel Lucerna)
Something that starts with a "B" inside the grand Hotel
Sunset Lounge on the beach in Playas (recommend only in warm summer weather, it's semi-outdoor)
Los Arcos (near Grand Hotel) for seafood


There's a major amount of construction going on near La Recta where they're building the gastronomic center. Supposed to be some really fine dining places going in there. Might be done in a year or so from the looks of things.

I'd like to see more AFFORDABLE and less UNaffordable Gringo-style reviews. I don't spend more than $10 for a plate since I am a vegetarian. I have found few places that serve overpriced food ($15+) to really be worth that price esp. in Mexico.
