Has anyone stayed at this hotel (Premier Hotel)? Looks like it is near Zona Rio. The website makes it look excellent (http://www.motelprem...g/about-us.html) I was wandering where it is in reference to the plaza rio. Thanks for your feedback

From their website if looks like a 'love hotel' or sex hotel.

Most visitors probably only stay for a few hours. Their identifiable by their private parking lots where you can't see the cars.

Noneless, traveling around Latin America I've found these type of motels the best bargains for regular (non-sex) traveling. Usually clean, cheap and quiet.

If you go to these type of motels on Sunday-Thursday they are usually like regular motels with an overnight stay for the price of shorter visit on Friday or Saturday. Just find out the checkout time before deciding. They are the nicest hotels for the money if you aren't uncomfortable with the idea of staying in a "love motel".

I read in the paper over the weekend that they closed this motel becuase a group of underage kids were partying in one of the rooms. Not sure when it will re-open.

It had already re-opened by the time you posted. They are nice rooms, but on Friday and Saturday the rentals are for 4 hours only. I had a birthday party one year in the suite with he pool, jacuzzi, sauna, disco ball dance floor and two master bedrooms. That room goes for a bit less than $200.....for parties they charge $19 extra per person after 4 people.

Did I read that correct a pool is in the room? A dance floor and two master bedrooms for $200.00 a night? That is a steal thanks for the update.
Any photos of this place?
Normally once an establishment is closed down by the police or regulatory officers they just pay the fine and they are back in business in no time.

I have stayed a few nights in the Tutankamon....can be lots of fun.

As far as the closing, they were going to open after one day, but they started letting people enter the exit and using the rooms while they were "closed" and got caught and were closed down a second day. smile.gif

They are back in business now. Keep in mind that you normally cannot get in that room until 4pm, unless it was vacant the day before. They have to sanitize the pool and jacuzzi after each rental and with check out at noon it takes a few hours.

Yes this place is open and me and my fiancee have been there twice, once each weekend Fri to Sat. Yes it is a love motel as some say but it could also be used to stay over night if you need a room, they are about 38 US for a regular room and of course you have the 4 hour rate if you need it. if you do go with kids because you are out and need a room please make sure you turn the tv on because there are about 3-4 porn channels that just come on, just an fyi, the rooms with jacuzzis are about 104$ over night but depends on what time you check in, i have found that if you try to get a room earlier in the day say 12-2 the rate will be higher but if you wait till later the rate goes down but you stand the chance of the rooms being filled up. last time we went which was fri night till sat we got a regular room, the rooms are clean and everything works etc, hot water, tv it also has private garage so if you plan on staying the night and going to rev to a club its a good place, the taxi lib will pick you up right on the street, not the high way but up the hill i just wait for one and wave my hand it's usually about 4.50 5 bucks to get to las pulgas but make sure to ask first before jumping in. i have checked about 4 other hotels and this place seems to be the best value and no hassle, they also have room service and the rates are good so if you were looking to eat and get dressed up and go that is a good option as well.

Hope this helps
