I've been going here for the past 4 years. It's on Calle 4 and Constitution. Don't go by the looks of the outside it looks horrible but the buffet is worth 5 bucks and to go it's 6 dollars.

Its not the best food but it will do. They always want to make my own to go buffet order but I insist and they watch me it's kinda funny, I mean it is a buffet there is only so much I can fit in the to-go box smile.gif

I've been going there for 11 years. I even took the late Jim Lane there once when he was down for a visit a couple of years ago and he liked it too.

You're right, it's not the best, but the few barbeque dishes they have are unique and decent, and I like that free serve-yourself-all-you-can-eat ice cream for dessert!

I've never taken out an order to go, but have noticed over the years that odd policy of the staff filling the styrofoam to-go box instead of allowing the customers to do it themselves.

The one thing I can't stand about the place is that ear-blasting jukebox just inside the banquet room. It doesn't play constantly, but it's way too loud when it does, and the selections that it mainly plays consists of that awful naco "banda" music. blink.gif

Wow 11 years. I always feel terrible when I see a post By Jim Lane one of the nicest guys I've ever met sad.gif
How bout that little kid, I've been watching him grow up. He is one funny character. I notice many chinese food buffets in Tijuana when you order takeout want to fill the plate for you. I am not sure the reasoning behind that?

Yeah, I've watched the kids there growing up too. A few years ago there was a write-up in one of the local newspapers about the family that owns and runs the place. They became Mexican citizens.

I've been to a few other Chinese buffets in Mexico but never noticed staff filling to-go boxes for customers other than King Wah. Perhaps its a Chinese custom.

I know you guys have been dying for a new carpet pic.

60 pesos Chinese food buffet. I still go here and scrutinized each time because to take to much food for the buffet?

I LOVE chinese food, but have been very disappointed in all the places we have tried. I am not a chinese buffet fan anyway due to bad experiences in the states. I would rather order from a menu, which they have, but hubby always vittos me thinking the next buffet will be better than the last. The rice is not at all like I want and the chicken is always a little shadey. I love schezwan green beans and they are no where to be found sad.gif Oh, can I can't find an egg roll or spring roll that I can eat either.

C-lo Just to re-affirm 99 percent of Chinese food places in San Diego and Tijuana are not that good. The places in TJ are just their to fill you up. They have no idea what an egg roll is around here and forget about General Tsaos chicken.
Mexicali has some of the best Chinese food places on the west coast.
