I saw there was a similar topic posted, but due to it's age(2006), I thought I'd repost this. Does anyone have information on the average price to attend private school in Tijuana? Our daughter is 8, so Primary prices would be especially appreciated.

Does anyone know of any kind of search engines for doing background checks on a school? We might enroll my daughter into a pre-school here in TJ, but I just want to do some "looking into" first. Thanks.

Private Schools, I would just ask around if you know anyone that takes their children there or to any other private school. In regards to pricing to Kinder and Primaria, the average cost is about $3000 - 4500 pesos to enroll them (per year) and about 1500-2800 (per month) + you still buy the uniforms and some school require you to pay for material (paper, pencils, etc etc). Some will allow you to purchase your own, but if your child forgets it, their out of luck in some cases unless they have $$$ to purchase what they are missing or a friend helps them out.

i just went to the process to look for schools in tj and playas, the chapest price i found was $2730 pesos and the most expensive was $3900 this the monthly payment plus enrollement fees add to about $40,000 pesos, per kid. i have 2, so besides rent this will be my highest expense. if you need the names of the schools i went let me know.

My daughter has been going to school here in TJ for 3 years, she is currently in K-2 (Here in Mexico it is 3 years of kinder, 2 are mandatory). I love the school my daughter goes to, for kinder I pay $2200 if I pay before the 1st of every month and $2801 if I pay after the 17th, the school is very large compared to most schools here in Tijuana, which was really important for us, they do lots of outdoor activites, the school has a zoo, when you walk to the schools office you see a ton of animals! The program is awesome, if you leave them there for all of elementary they guarantee they will be fluent in Spanish, English and German. My daughter already speaks both English and Spanish. The classrooms are large and very americanized, if you would like the schools website please feel free to send me a message. I can also highly recommend a summer camp program that is awesome, this year will be the 2nd year for my daughter, I even cried of excitement when we got there the first day and all of the Disney characters were there to great them (you should have seen the look of these children´s faces) and charter buses to take them to a ton of events! Some of the activities include daily swimming lessons at Centro de Alto Rendimiento at UABC, modeling with well known agency, playing soccer with our local team almost daily, kung fu, they visit different kinds of production maquilas including Bimbo, they go fishing in Popotla, Legoland, Knotts Berry Farm, Knotts Soak City (yes, they take them across the border), well tons of more things I cant remember at the moment but here is the website: veranoconcoki.com.mx they have not updated the website but if you look around you get an idea, the camp is expensive but worth it, lifetime memories for your little ones. It is for 1 whole month Monday-Friday from 9-5, I guarantee when you pick up your kids they will have dinner and fall asleep and be excited to go to camp the next day! I am not in any way affiliated with this camp but it is such an awesome experience I has to share!

Wow that was some very nice news to hear. So much awful news about TJ, they take care of their children here in TJ, if you have the money. English, Spanish, and German huh? German, why German?..haha i knew the Germans hid out in Latin America after WW2, that's why we see green eyed white skin Mexicans.

I work as a K2 teacher here in TJ at an English speaking school. I will be happy to send you the info just PM me. It is a little pricey if you ask me, it is around $10K pesos to enroll 1 child for the first year and around $3300 pesos a month. The inscription goes down after the first year if you re-enroll. The school is K-6 and I really like all of my co-workers. The facility is nice with lots of extra-curricular activities. However I may have to look into TETBajaMovers school, lol.
