I want to apologize to everyone that I was going to meet. I tried to head out to San Diego twice but the Thanksgiving Holiday plus weekend made it a no go. The line was crazy. Again, I want to say sorry to all my friends. I did have a great and fun time in TJ though. It sounds wierd, I really do miss the city.

It's the same problem many expatriats have, I ran out of money. I ran my own business out of TJ but the sales were just not there. When you run out of money, you have to go find a job. Unfortunately, stupid me decided to go all the way to New Jersey when I could have easily stayed in California. I had job offers but the New Jersey position was with a promotion and a raise and now I regret it. Trying my darniest best to head back not necessarily to TJ but at least to California. For those thinking of living out of state, don't. There really is no place like california. Unless you're living in Sacramento or Fresno.

I understand completely. I went back home for Xmas and was dying to come back. Is there any job openings in your field here? The problem with Socal is the payrate is a lot less than say NY. I just took a small contract job that pays 6k a month here but back East it pays close to 10k.

There are several jobs in SoCal that I more than qualify for but like you mention it would be a reduction in pay in the five figure area. I'm still might make the move but I still of a mind to try to do so without losing out on all that money. If I get desperate enough, I might just say f it and learn to say, "would you like fries with that" with a smile.
