Having MagicJack complaints ?

MY MagicJack phone service customer's report:

It is probably worth reporting that my service with MagicJack (MJ) has left some things to be desired for me as a customer.
Somethings are more bothersome than others.

I believe I'm being overcharged on international calling to MX. MJ doesn't provide call logs and the customer service is done by online chat only. dry.gif
That combination seems like hell to make a complaint. I'm waiting for my second wind before another go around.

Anyways, I've decided to use Skype for international calling and keep MJ for US/Canada numbers.

1 mb dsl beats out 3mb cable ? That's interesting. I was even thinking to upgrade my bandwidth.

What about international calling charges being honest ?
I take it that you haven't tested it by calling your regular MX landlines or cellulars yet. Let us know ....
I'm pretty sure that I've been charged for unanswered calls and more.

Yes, I've had mine for nearly two years now and have been satisfied with it overall so far. Reception is good if I don't have a browser or any big windows open while talking on it. Otherwise the audio tends to be a little choppy at times, but not with every phone call.

Recently my "contacts" list disappeared, and I suspect it was due to a recent upgrade on the part of MagicJack. But I only keep about a dozen names/numbers on it anyway, and maintain a backup list of them elsewhere.

I've only had to contact customer service once when my voice mail wouldn't work and they had to reset it. The online customer service was swift and helpful.

Can't really complain about a few, infrequent minor glitches for $20 bucks a year for unlimited calling to the U.S. and Canada. I've never added credit to the account because the only other country I call is Mexico, and I just use my Telcel for that.
