This hacienda style home has a main house with master bedroom and a magical interior courtyard encircled by three guesthouses with private pool. Some of the guesthouses have their own fireplace or kitchenette. The uniqueness of the design and environment transports you to another world.

$450/night, $2800/week.

That is crazy 2800 a week? i wouldn't think of renting this place at 2k a month let alone 2800 a week.

What are your guys thoughts?

I think it's about 1,000 qm total with all the haciendas thrown in. And it's oceanfront.

And I think it fits maybe 15 people.

That's a good deal. I still don't know the size though.

I prefer a $25 a night hotels. The kind that no gringos stay in.

Rosarito beach hotel rents rooms for 150 a night and this is 3 times that cost. It's a bit expensive but geared towards a richer clientele.

What the heck it has got three guest houses with fireplaces and kitchenettes.

Kind of place for adult extended family vacation with kids I imagine.

I'd say it's cheaper if you can get 10 people to live in that place rather than a hotel.

I'm equally guilty at times, you need not feel bad.

Maybe if I saw this place and it was like a fortress I would change my mind.

Yes I am totally cheap too, but what made me realize was that a friend was planning a vacation with his Mom, Dad, girlfriend, child, plus sister and brother-in-law. Total seven people I guess. About $55/nite per person on the weekly rate.

Last two Labor Days they stayed down at Las Gaviotas, but they figured they needed more room with sis and brother-in-law. So anyway the type that takes these big family vacations with adult kids who have good jobs and $$, this is the type that goes for this sort of place.

They've got these in the resort places like Acapulco or Puerto Vallarta, you can rent a bitchen "villa" for a vacation. I'm sure all over the world. Probably you didn't think of Rosarito as being upscale to that degree I am thinking.

ps. Plus, they typically go into town and buy a bunch of food for barbecuing and so forth, so they probably save a little $$ on food and snacks and drinks and breakfasts and lunches and so forth.

I agree with snooky... if there is a big group that can split the cost.. it is a great deal. I used to do this with a group of skiers... we would rent a big condo up in Mammoth every year... much cheaper, and a lot of fun (if you are in the right group )
