This is a favorite among locals here in TJ. I think I have the name spelled right and I'm not sure what its made of except Ice and salt with chili powder and tamarindo juice. Any ideas?

hi , it's spelled diablito, and depends what city you're in , you make it with shaved ice, homemade lime ice cream, salt lime juice , chili powder and chamoy, which is tamarind pulp with chili and artificial color , just like tostilocos in mexicali they put in surimi, here in tijuana you put jicama, cucumbers, peanuts, rielito, cueritos (little strips of pig skin in vinager!) a lot of chili salsa etc, i know it sounds disgusting but i love tostilocos.

SDC I thought the same thing when I first tried it a few years ago. Now I love it! It's refreshing on those hot summer days

On a hot summer day...give me a ice-cold Pacifico anytime...hold the chili and lime...
