Can anyone tell me where this goes? I see it as I leave the border. Does it go up to the 15? I have tried to find a map but no go. Also called AAA but they were no help. Thanks

I would hazard a guess that the pay 125 becomes the free 125 which goes north until it merges with the 8 on the east side of San Diego. It does not go to the 15 directly, you would have to cut over on the 94, 54, 8 or whatever to get there.

The map I finally found shows the 125 connecting to Highway 52 and then to the 15. Is Highway 52 a freeway type road.

That highways ends in Santucky (Santee), it is very convenient for those of you who live in east Tijuana (Universidad, Otay...etc), but you have to pay the toll.

I drove down it the first week it was opened, it was pretty nice. I thought to myself, "this isn't the Southbay I know and drive through everyday." Everything along side the highway was brand new; the homes, the stores... it reminded me of north county. I won't use it very often if ever, since I live more west and the 5 is the best option for me.

Paying the toll is not a problem. Once I cross at Otay I have another 2 hour drive depending on traffic it could be as much at 3 hours to get to work. Since I do this only once a week anything to make the drive faster I am for. I am going to try the road on Saturday morning so I can see for my self.

It's a toll road??? I thought it was a turnpike.

When I drove down it on thanksgiving, I did not have to pay since it was the first week of the new expressway, so it may still be free this Saturday Zunigan. I heard there would be no toll for the first few weeks.

A three hour drive to work makes my hour and a half seem like a walk down the street. How far do you go, Riverside?

You have to pay from now on, unless you get the fasttrak which deducts from your initial $40.00 deposit and if you leave your card on file with them, it will automatically recharge if you balance goes below $10.00. If you get it now, you can drive on it for free until 1/18/2008 (they wont deduct any cash from you deposit). I got it just in case since I work off of the 905 I dont need to use it to get to work, but I use it to get a little variety in my lunch since Otay does not have much to offer.

I work in Glendora, and if the traffic was light I should be here in about 2 hours, but if you add on my 1 hour wait at the border and then the traffic on the 805 and 15 it adds at least another hour. I leave at 5 am from my home in Otay and usually arrive at work around 9:30 am. So 4 hours is really more like it. I am only doing it on Tuesdays, I go back on Sat and usually its lighter traffic.

Today 2 21/2 hours at the border and I got there at 5 am. This is just nuts, plus all the cars who were going the wrong way on the street next to the road leading to the border cutting in line!!!

December is always much worse. I can only guess it's for shopping and maybe the increase in seasonal jobs. It should get a bit 'better' in January. 'Better' being a relative term as it is getting worse all the time.

I would expect it tp be much much worse before anything is done about it. The focus of the US government unfortunately is making it harder to cross the border, not easier.

I don't blame them, waiting in line is frustrating. Why a metro are of 5 million (SD AND TJ COMBINED) only has two ports of entry is incomprehensible, ridiculous, and just play STUPID… Why other smaller border metro areas such JUAREZ/EL PASO and LAREDO/NUEVO LAREDO have more ports of entries than we do is illogical. We should have just as many as those places if not MORE.

I waited in line 1 1/2 hours in the Otay Sentri lane Wednesday morning. The Garita report on the radio said the line was longer, 250 cars, at the San Ysidro port of entry.

What's the point of having a Sentri lane if you have to wait 1 1/2 hours?

I read the SENTRI LINE is going 24/7 starting the first of the year if that helps out anyone. Sure doesn't help me any. I WANT MY MOTORCYCLE BACK!!!

That's seems to be the only way to cross. Until they add more Sentri lanes.

I was in an accident on an on-ramp to 163 in San Diego last month, going about 40 mph... aside from some minor abrasions and bruises, I'm totally fine, but the lady who hit me totaled my bike. I'm pretty bummed. Her insurance covered the bike, the helmet, the protective jacket, time missed from work, my ambulance ride to Sharp Hospital, the medical bills, even my torn Khaki pants. but they're sure not covering my long waits at the border every morning to get to work or the gas my pick up truck guzzles down going to MISSION VALLEY every day, this blows...

I'm going to wait until JAN/FEB to buy an 08 Ninja.

Yesterday it took me 2 hours to get INTO TIJUANA, the CHP and CBP were doing a reverse inspection... who´s bright idea was it to do it on a friday night, WHAT THE F*CK!!!!

Like most TJ commuters I've considered a motorcycle, but there's always that risk that one driver won't see you...

The reason I haven't bought one yet is because the moto I want does will not be at the dealerships until about JAN OR FEB... but I am looking at the CYCLE TRADER often, maybe a used bike may catch my eye....
