These new shops and high rises being built of late are great, but this city needs more green areas, more parks. I think the lot where the now defunct Torreo de Tijuana was should be turned into a park, but I looks like they’ll probably build more condos or a shopping center.

In eastern Nebraska land is a lot more expensive than in Tijuana and you can still get a 50,000 dollar house with a decent sized yard. And you hear the birds sing.
Thats why when I purchase out here it will be to build my own house on my own peice of land. (You get more bang for your buck than purchasing in the concrete tracts.
Its kind of ironic that areas considered the poorest have more greenery and larger yards than most the middle class developments. (Compare Mariano Matamoros, El Niño, and Florido with some of the newer tracts!)
Every home ought to have a dirt space to grow plants and a tree.

Now that would suck. Was this in the paper or news? I remember when this got started. I wonder how much planning went into the foundation and such. One good earthquake and this place could be toast.

Agreed. Why buy in Mexico when you can rent.
