From Maine to Rosarito

I am looking for my lost love. I lived in Maine my whole life and met a Mexican girl in New Hampshire. We dated for about one year and her student visa expired and she left. That was about ten months ago and we talked every other day. She tried to renew her visa with no luck. Then her phone was shut off! I have not heard from her since. I made a few trips to Rosarito with no luck. I showed her photo around and no one seemed to know who she was. She was born and raised in Mexicali but moved to Rosarito when she was 14.
I made the decision to temporally move to Rosarito and try to find her.
My place is just a few blocks from the beach and I am paying $550.00 a month. I met some nice people down here and one was a member and said I should make more friends to ease the culture shock.
I've been lurking for the past few weeks and it took me 6 tries to register! That darn confirmation code sucks!
So hello Bloggers and I will be checking in every other day or so.

create a new email address using MSN or yahoo on mexico or espanol site..
if you have cell phone # , that might give you a direct approch..
never offer money since that will cause someone trying to play a trik on your needs..
hope thios helps..

And it won't spook her like everyone all of a sudden looking at her funny since she looks like a poster. Not everyone remembers what on posters, be it good or bad.

What a story, This could be a reality show.
I would be a little cautious with flyers but here are some ideas. What kind of music does she like? Does she like to dance? If so try the local clubs both in Rosarito and Tijuana. Offer the doormen or waiters a couple hundred dollars if they find her. It sounds like you have spent quite a bit of money on this adventure so the quicker you find her the more you will save.
I also agree hiring a PI sounds like the way to go.
Good Luck and keep us posted

If you are intent on finding her then I would go to the telephone company Telnor and see if you can persuade or pay someone there to give you the address of the number. You said her phone was shut off so she must have had a land line, no?

The other thing I would suggest is that if she really is in Rosarito take an ad out in "Ecos" (the Rosarito spanish language paper) with her photo. If she is in Rosarito I would bet that you have at least a 50/50 chance that someone who has seen her around reads the ad.
Good luck...

I hope she has a really good reason for not contacting you. Otherwise, there are millions of fish in the sea to choose from, and you are in the right place for the pickings.
Good luck.

I feel bad for this guy if that is the case. I hope we didn't scare him off with our comments. I would like to know if he found her.
