I am looking for an intensive Spanish course preferabally in Baja,
Not just someone offering private spanish classes, but more of a designed full immersion course/school. If any one knows of any.

I have found a few intensive programs throughout Mexico which sound good, but nothing really in Baja Sur/Norte yet. But if anyone has tried other cities let me know as well. thanks!

This isn´t a full immersion course perse, but its a Spanish for Foreigners class offered at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California for a very reasonable price.

Being that you would be in the midst of a student body that speaks Spanish as their first language, you could turn it into an immersion course! Just get to know some of the students.

Thought it mentioned a school in Ensenada but I don't see it this time.
The UABC seems to offer the best deal around here.

Other good deals are outside of MX, mainly Ecuador and Guatemala to name just a couple countries. SD City College has it going on also.

Playaz, if I remember right you're a girl right? If that's true, then find a Mexican boyfriend. You won't get more immersion than that.

That's only part right. The other part is to have the discipline to only speak spanish if the partner is bilingual.
It may be hard on the relationship if one needs a "teacher" while the other doesn't know how to teach.
It's actually best if the partner doesn't speak ANY english (or better yet, is a language professor) and supplemented with classes.

Scooby is absolutely correct. When I landed in Tucuman, Argentina many years ago (too many to count) I was 16 years old and my entire Spanish vocabulary was limited to a few phrases that most gringos that share a border with Mexico know. Looking around and seeing so many gorgeous women that I wanted to talk to was the motivation I needed to make me learn. With a dictionary in hand I made myself learn 50 new works a day, writing them all down in a small notebook every night that I could fit into my back pocket. I carried that notebook with me everywhere, studying the words every spare moment I had available. Every night I would review the old words and look up 50 new ones. It was amazing but in just 5-6 weeks I was moderately fluent, albeit with broken gammer but I was able to easily make myself understood. It was then, with the help of my new girlfriend that I was able to perfect my grammer. I continued to add words to my notebook and just a few months later I found myself actually thinking in Spanish. I was no longer translating words in my mind. A lot of language schools concentrate on teaching rules of grammer along with vocabulary but my experience was that it was much easier just concentrating on vocabulary first. Grammer is much easier to learn once you are able to communicate with a basic level of vocabulary in my ever be it so humble opinion...

That immersion program sounds good bt thats kinda far for me.
Spanish boyfriend huh? dont think thats gna work, spanish starts sounding like french after a while haha.

I think Im gna take the class at UABc if I dont drop out, seems kinda long, I was planning on travelling in between, but Im gna try to complete it. Id rather do a 2 week or 4 week course somewhere in TJ.
