This place is kind of evolving into a chain....from 2 locations to 5!
They are located near the UABC, Playas, Hipodromo, Plaza Fiesta, and Villa Fontana.
Here is the website for more information:

And this is the page that includes maps for finding the places:

They did a few "Rock En Espaņol" episodes on the San Diego local rock music show "Fox Rox" that were pretty cool, the hosts came to TJ to film some of the segments and talked about bands like Nortec Collective ( http://www.brightcov...annel=232257096 ) . They also visited one of the El Chez locations. I've been to the one in playas, a friend used to dj there, don't know what to say about it, certainly nothing to write home about, they do have 2 for 1 drinks on thursday night (in playas not sure about other locations). Just out of curiosity though why are you 'advertsing' for them here? Do you really like the place or something?

Hey, this is an open forum. If it has to do with TJ, we want to here about it. Any experiences from Adelita's, to Church is welcome here.

I understand. Also I'm very new to this board and so many here may not be familiar with my writing style. Just to clarify it wasn't my intention to question rather libertythor's message was welcome or not. I was merely curious. RE: What you said about "experiences" from Adelita's to Church being welcome liberty didn't give an experience. He just said that the place has grown from 2 locations to 5 and included a map and link to the businesses website. Since for me the fact that a business is expanding - impressive though that may be - is not enough reason to frequent the place I was curious enough to ask him to elaborate since my only limited experience has been with the Playas location. Maybe there is a singles night at the UABC location that he thinks is a great place to meet attractive Latina women? Or ____________? In other words I just wanted to know if he's recommending this bar and if so then why?

Thanks LT!
Looks like a chill-out type of place. Lots of hot chix
Maybe the guys can have a small get together at one of these locations

Each place is different. Check out the website for the specials. The place near the UABC draws the college crowd. Yes...there are a lot of single people that go there. On a Friday night the place is packed.
At Plaza Fiesta the place draws more of the general Plaza Fiesta people along with some goths and punks.
At Hipodromo, the place draws more of an upscale crowd.
Playas: A cross section...not as busy.
Villa Fontana: I have yet to check this location out.
No, there is no payola on my part. All I do is share information.
