thanks guy's for the info. yeah i won't move to tj if i don't get a sentri card. and no i don't drive a motorcycle. but more power to you who does.

My tab for *everything*, including US cell phone <Verizon International Plan> , MX and US VoIP phones, etc is right about $1,000 a month.

Plan B for border crossing is an electric bike. I got mine back up this summer and I'm delighted. I scoot to the Otay crossing in minutes and take 0-20 minutes to cross with the foot traffic. With a back pack and saddle bags, I can haul quite a bit of stuff when I need to.

If you have a really nice car, I would consider renting a garage at the Otay Crossing storage place. Yes, you would be adding I guess about $150 a month to the tab. And the car would be in locked storage. The down side is I think it closes from about 10 PM to 6 AM. And if you have a really hot BMW or something...
