Ronin I do not like Plaza Fiesta much but I love Santano!!
the hot dogs rule and the music is great. The club has a cheers like atmosphere where everyone knows everyone. Have you ran into Crazy Mario yet ?
He always sits near the cash register and gets wasted. He is a fixture there every tuesday which is ladies night

There used to be clubs here that you could dance in but not it is all sit down type of bars sad.gif

I was thinking of throwing a Tijuanablog 1 year Anniversary bash here.
Tijuana is much more than Revolution ave

Hahaha yeah I dig those bratwurst German whatevers too. And they manage to get the Suizo sign on their with some sort of mustard sauce. Classic. Perfect get drunk food. And I agree about the atmosphere ... some smokin Latina yuppies too!

I'm starting to like plaza fiesta more and more. While the beers are pricy the music and clubs are so much better than say, Pulgas. Been there two weekend in a row now...

SDC I agree this place is like heaven on earth. Lots of single women here and ladies night is tuesdays at most clubs. The live bands are great but a bit loud. I try to sit far away as I can.
I love TJ!

oh, i meant monte picacho.
BTW pancho villas downstairs has remodeled again. band is by the front door, they also moved the bar. the dance floor has been replaced by tables. it seems to be the trend in the zone. beers are also $4.

my fave joint is la azotea, but again, no dance floor and $4 beers.

im looking for a new hangout, and i think ive found it.

peace

Cops love la Plaza now, back then like 5, 7 years ago, it was my alternative to the scandalous Revu. Everytime I invite out-of-towners down south, I take them to La Cantina De Los Remedios, It's kinda' pricey, especially if you don't keep track of what your consuming, but it's really fun. I think it's mostly for the crowd that allready outgrew baby rock or other discos and just want to chill with their friends listening to live mariachi, drinking tequila and getting smashed. Located across baby rock in Zona Rio. A lot of the youngsters love Porky's in the plaza, I got to go many times when it barely opened, as an alternative to now gone club 5to Patio, I later felt like I was too old for that crowd but for some reason every one looked the same and played the same music. I personally had some bad experiences and heard of other bad stories about Sambuca, also in the Plaza. It seems that Sambuca stayed open after everyone else closed and had cheap drinks, the catch, unwary patrons would get the classic $1 bill switch, take away unfinished beer, overcharged, bring stuff you didn't order, or just plain out try to rob you, as in my case when I got in a drunken brawl with another patron, we were both thrown out and continued to brawl outside. I hanged around after the other brawler left trying to take inventory of my personal belongings, when out of the blue a bouncer/door guy got me in a sleeper hold and tried to empty my pockets. While I was struggling I could feel someone's fingers in my pockets shuffling around looking for something. Good thing a waiter that worked at Porky's was just getting out of work and saw me struggling. Somehow he managed to convince the guy or guys to leave me alone (a good tip goes a long way). I thanked the guy and never went to the Plaza again for almost 5 years.
