This is what I find on website. c/IVA mean tax included.
$35 dlls, you pay to much my friend. Website say 280 pesos which is $25 or $26 dala. I've got cheaper one for $17 dala a month and I plenty happy.

YOU TUBE is slow though.

My total Cablemas bill for basic cable and internet is never more than $47 dlls.

Yeah, I agree that I do pay too much BUT I only have the internet and not a bundle...most of the discounts they offer are for bundles of cable and internet and/or phone or a combination of the 2

My neighbor who works online swears by Cablemas. He says it has better uptime than Telnor.

Where I live here on the coast we are stuck with Telnor as no cable service is available but I am opening a new office where I will have a choice. Need to look into it...

A few years ago Cablemas had a lot of uptime issues but now I think i've seen the internet out 2-3 times in the past year. One lasted 4-6 hours and the other times just a few hours.

When I first got internet cable it was horrible and went down every other day and for a week was off and on every hour.

My friend just bought a house between TJ and Rosarito and they can't get cablemas only Satelite.

Yeah, here at the house we have DirecTV. The service with them is great and we get all the channels north of the border as well as the Latino package which lets the Mrs watch her telenovelas. Actually she got me hooked on a couple of them...

Does Cablemas offer HD service?

DirectTV is a american company owned by hughes, some people use their american address for direcTV service in order to view local american channels and american TV channels..

do you guys use local mexican direcTV dealer/agent as service provider or use american address to get it since their are other satilite services that cater to spanish programming?

I use DirecTV with a US address and subscribe to both English and Spanish programming in HD that DirecTV offers. The optical audio on the HD service is really great. If you ever were to see my setup you would understand why I care so much...

Much of the world is less subjected to censors than the US. This includes Mexican television.

I remember watching TV in Brazil back in the 80's. 25 years ago it showed a lot more than US television does today. The difference is that most of the world expects for parents to be responsible for controlling their kids TV watching habits, not the networks, cable companies or the government. That's the way it should be IMHO.

i have 4 flat HDTV screens in my house ranging from 58 inch to 32 inch, two of these units are 1080P and hooked up to my computer with 2 home theatures using HDMI going through newyer HDMI receivers with 7.1 surround systems..

i also have wirless network system which is hooked up to 750GB HD with 150,000 MP3 songs on it that can play music anywhere in the house.

its my hobbie and keep me occupied, i just love the new technology..

i been in audio freek for past 20 years and owned best names in business..

i also own HD DVD and blue ray players with alot of movies.

i just wanted to know if your using a mexican direcTV provider instead of most of guys are doing south of the boarder which is using a american addresses..

I have over 6 grand in my living room setup alone but I wasn't posting to brag. I was only mentioning my setup as to why I care so much if Cablemas (Thread Topic) offers HD or not. There is no Mexican DirecTV currently.

The DirecTV "dealers" down here actually work out of a US based DirecTV dealer. You have to have a US address and phone number. Most of them offer Dish Network to those not meeting the criteria.

funny, when i had my direcTV, they did not care where my address was as long as MY CC was billable using auto pay..

only reason they needed phone # was able to watch PPV or one must call in in person and pay $5 a event extra fee.

i now use comcast for internet and cable, no phone in my house since all my family is on wireless plan.

i am sure this is still true since most guys can use PO address to set up their account.

dishnetwork also offers HDTV service and many more forign broadcasts than direcTV...

either way, they are both very reliable..

I also have a large digital music library hooked up into my system. It got to be too much so I bought a Compaq 42U server rack to house my main floor audio/video system which includes a pull out monitor and keyboard drawer that has internet access and controls the music library. I have 4 separate amps pushing the separate channels in my surround system. I like the old analog equipment and use it to push the digitally separated channels. My wife jokes that I made it so complicated so she wouldn't stick her hand in the rack.

i have sold all my amps except 2 bryston amps for just to listern to two channel music..

all the fancy surround sound is done by either marantz or yamaha receiver for home theature..

i do not watch PPV, i buy movie software..only thing i watch is sports and movies and check the weather ...

I use a Yamaha DSP-A1 for my surround decoding and then run all of the outputs into analog amps. I really like the old 70/80's analog gear and haven't found anything in the newer gear that reproduces the sound I get out of them. Most of my speakers are old school as well. Some of them over 30 years old and rival any of the new stuff today. If you recognize any of this gear I run in the main channels I definitely know how old you are - haha!

I have pushed the speakers with the newer digital gear but it just isn't the same. reminds me of when we switched from analog cell phones to digital. Less static but sounds "electronic". I just love my old analog amps. I know, it's a disease...

The DirecTV US service contract states that you must be within the country to subscribe. They did offer a service in Mexico a couple years ago, even a prepaid service. But it didn't last long.

well its a dolby digital receiver using it as pre set up, not the most current since its almost 10 years old.



yamaha m70 amp, i believe these were 70 watta channel, again just off my head

pioneer or sansui , never used them ...

for over the air/cable/sat , 5.1 is fine...

as long as you enjoy your own sound, thats all it matters

i never used digital amps but i have heard of them in sony and HK..

its great product if you like em low profile design..
