that is true. But then many of them still retain their culture in that case. An influence of white, yellow, black, etc non-mexican was what I was talking about.

you mean forigners living in TJ who retain their curture by listern their type of music and speaking their own laungage?
if you have chance to fellow chineese/ korean mexican and their immigration to mexico and their hard ship will give you some hard ideas of how tuff is being a chino in mexico when espacialily when you do not have wealth..
also , the kiddnapping stuff is over blown since this type of stuff is common in other 3rd world countries..
when your rich and havewealthy connectons, your safety and willness plats bigger part in ones lives...

Will the population of gringos grow in TJ,
I wish there were a better census kept. Most people you meet that live in TJ are not from TJ at all or are 1st genereation TJers. I'd like to know where the majority of Tijuananenses are from?

"I wish there were a better census kept. "
There is, you just have to look for it.
Per http://www.bajacalif.../pedu/ped05.htm
39.7% Born in Tijuana
17.08% From Sinaloa
13.69% From Jalisco
9.39% From Distrito Federal
8.70% from Michoacán
etc.
There is a buttload of Mexican statistics at http://www.inegi.gob.mx.

QUOTE (jdcs167 @ Jun 22 2007, 02:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
After 7 years trying to get down south of the border I have finally made it to TJ. WELCOME TO ME ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Im going to get some FISH TACOS, TACOS TACOS TACOS TACOS.
Ok, So I thought it would be cool to reply to my 1st post to let you know that I am moving back to the US, not far just a hope, skip and jump across into SD. That was the original plan when we moved down here and we are finally going to make it.
We have spend 3.5yrs here in TJ and it has been great. It adopted me as if I were one of its own, anyways we were able to save and pay off our extensive debt to where we are (ZERO) in debt with the exception of vehicle. We were able to save a bit more and finally purchase a home in SD after 7 months of looking and putting offers down, I hope to finalize everything by Friday. No more crossing to take my boys to school and then go to work and deal with the insane traffic back into TJ everyday. Thank you ALL for the info while I transitioned to TJ. I will still be hanging out here, but just wanted to share.
Thanks
HR
