So I've been staring at Google Earth and Microsoft Virtual Earth for a while now, trying to determine which street in that mess dumps into the Sentri Lanes. Tell me if I'm correct or way off...
Get on Ave Paseo Tijuana, that feeds onto Dist Caracol Zona del Rio. Stay to the right and that will lead to the Sentri Lanes.... ????

Thanks Bill for the link, that will be very useful. I appreciate the info Gringo and Miggie. As far as getting the Sentri pass, I am fortunate in that I know already I will be approved. I originally applied back in June, thinking it would be a long drawn out process of weeks or months before I would receive conditional acceptance. Imagine my surprise when the very next morning I was already conditionally approved and they wanted me there in 30 days for my interview. I had to call and request they actually turn down my application, which was a first for them, so that I could start the 90 day wait until I can re-apply. I should be able to do so on the 30th of this month. Knowing my luck, this time it probably will take weeks for me to get approved. I guess time will tell.
** Looking at that traffic site, would someone be able to explain the difference between the left and right lanes? One looks considerably faster. Diamante, is that public transportation?

Interesting. I would have expected that the majority of traffic would be crossing prior to 8am, with the typical work day being 8-5p. So you are thinking that I would be better off taking a 8-5 position then a 10-7 position? My bank has a number of branches scattered throughout San Diego and the surrounding communities. I did some map questing and I'll be looking at about a 20-25 mile commute from San Ysidro.

I will be commuting daily yes. That is one of the reasons I'm already working on a Sentri Pass. Other then getting that, I don't know what else my commuting options are, just where to cross and how to best get there.
I do have the flexibility of taking a 8a-5p position, or one that is 10a-7p. From your past experiences, would I expect to have a much shorter border crossing time if I took the later shift?
