Why is it that TJ is around 5-10 degrees hotter than SD but yet it is several degrees cooler at night?  That's odd.  Also, what's the weather like there in the winter time?  thanks.

I will be taking an early retirement in the spring and will be moving to the Tijuana area since I like the climate around San Diego and figure its gotta be similar right? especially nearer the ocean. I'm fluent in Spanish and won't have to work, but might like to eventually dabble in a small business. The problem is I don't really care to rent, at least long term, but my price range is under $100,000 USD for a small house (just for me). Is this still possible down there? If so, please advise what area would you absolutely avoid and in what areas nearest to the ocean might I begin to look? (I'm not expecting perfection, especially after reading this blog). thanks.
