Hey guys, I just bought a 1987 Mercedes Benz 300TD diesel wagon in San Diego and brought it home here in TJ. Does anyone know of a good diesel mechanic? The car has a small fuel leak coming from one of the injectors (i knew about it prior to buying, it was just too good a deal to pass up though). Let me know!

Hi my name is Jake and my wife's is Rocio. We moved to TJ (our third time living here in 6 years) from Las Vegas about 4 months ago and live in El Florido (it's not as bad as they say it is). I am a Certified Court Interpreter/Translator in NV, UT and soon to be in CA. I'm a gringo and my wife is from Mexico City. We are both 27 and have two kids, 2 and 5 months. I am a professional interpreter/translator and my wife is a massage therapist at the new Massage Envy in downtown SD next to Petco Park. We left my family, friends and a decent lifestyle in vegas becasue we saw the writing on the wall with the economy, plus my wife got offered a job and I wanted to work part time in SD in the courts and finish my degree online and get ready for law school in san diego next year. We have no friends here. We would like to find other young couples in similar situations to hang out with. I am in the middle of building a waste vegetable oil filtering machine to make fuel for my 1987 ford F-350 diesel and a diesel mercedes benz we are planning on buying soon. If anyone knows of anyone who makes churros, potato chips, chicharrones (not the pork kind) or anything else that uses lots of VEGETABLE OIL I would really like to know about it. We are trying to get enough oil to filter and fill a 275 gallon plastic tote/tank that fits in the back of my diesel truck so we can make a trip down to Mexico City in June for a wedding. If anyone else is interested in the Veggie oil thing, id be more than happy to provide info or possibly build/sell you one of my filtration machines. Free fuel! We love to travel. Also if anyone has a diesel mercedes benz for sale or knows someone selling one let me know about it ok? I am selling my 2004 Chevrolet Colorado for $8,000 USD or best offer. its a four door, 4x4 Z-71 off-road crew cab. 100,000 miles. One owner (me!). $3,000 below Kelly Blue Book because I was in a minor rear ender and the car has cosmetic damage to the rear bumper estimated (in san diego by my insurance co.) at $2,400. It can be fixed here in TJ for less than half that, but I opted to take a check from the insurance co. instead of getting my truck's cosmetic damage fixed. Let me know if you would like to see pictures of it. It is black with grey cloth interior. Runs great. a/c, 6 disc cd player. XM satellite radio. BFG off road tires. etc. Thanks.
