MRBOOKEE - is a play on words that combines two parts of my life: the work and the play life.
For a number of year I sold textbooks to professors and on the weekends I sold books at Koby's Swap Meet.
Secondly, I love to win at gambling...notice I did not say I loved gambling. I am well known in the Caliente Race and Sports Book circles, and am very open to sharing MOST of my information being that Caliente is a true BOOKEE.

About Me
I am a black male forty-ish but act and feel much younger than my age. I love many, many things mexican (food, the people and the culture). Began going to TJ as a young boy of about 8 years old. My father loved to go to the weekend dog races at Caliente Racetrack and would take me and my brother along. Thus, was born a lifelong passion for both dog and horseracing. I have one of Caliente's first phone accounts and was a regular at many of the Calente locations....I was there so much I got to know many of the employees on a personal basic and even married, then unfortunately divorced one of the Caliente cashiers.
For two years, I lived in Playas de Tijuana then near Centro. Currently I live in San Diego, healing from a pretty terrible car accident that had me hospitalized for a whole year. I am currently in a wheelchair but attend physical theraphy. When I am able to function and walk without the chair I plan on moving back down to TJ.
While living in TJ I earned my living a somewhat of a "Concierge" for the Adaletia Bar in Zona Norte. I was the only person other than the guy who takes/sells souveneir photos allowed to bring and sell merchandise inside the bar. I became friends with the then manager and memebers of the family that own the bar. I have many, many interesting stories and adventures. When I was in the hospital some of the girls that worked at the bar even sent me get-well cards.
I am a positive...happy...loyal person that likes good food and conversation that hopes one day to remarry a beautiful mexican women and have a couple of kids. June 20, 2012.

In Topic: Hello Christian SBM in wheelchair retiring in TJ, Rosarita or..............

I too am "CURRENTLY" in a wheelchair but thanks to great rehab I should be out of it soon. I grew up in San Diego, among other places, and have lived in TJ for two years in 08' and 09'. TJ is not ADA compliant in any way. Being in a wheelchair you have been spoiled by living in the US that makes it very easy for a disabled person to move around the city, take transportation, enter buildings, etc.
TJ is also somewhat predatory, where the weak are preyed upon by the stronger (often criminal element). You may also want to consider hiring someone to help you when you go out.
As far as meeting girls/women/young ladies, I have found that smile and a great personality goes a long way. A little knowledge of spanish doesn't hurt either.
By the way I currently live in the US and am waiting to get out of the chair before returning to TJ. Good Luck.
