Welcome to the for Cali,

Yes i agree as well that craigslist is your best option. That is where i found the house i currently rent. I live in La Cacho. I drive daily to San Juan Cap. to go to work. And i go home every night Mon-Fri. It is not as bad as you think. Especially if you have a sentri pass. I recommend you look into that too. If you don't know the what sentri is, it lets you get across the border quicker than others.

Yea I was thinking I could do the drive cause I used to work in Mission Viejo and drive from Riverside, which was a 2-3 hour drive itself, lol! but it takes me a full tank of gas a day to get from mex to the IE... so that would add up real quick! so I stay with family though the week.... I have kinda looked into the sentri but not completely, just took a glance on the website... but I will def be looking into it. the sentri is the far right lanes right?

I suggest you find the area where you want to live then just walk around or drive around and look for rent signs. Not everything is going to be listed in craigslist or the newspaper. I knew where I wanted to live and I just walked the neighborhood looking at for rent signs. I was looking at one place writing down the number and the maintenance man saw me and ran up to me asking if I would like to see the apartments. The rest is history.

Well I have an appointment for a real estate agent to take us to a few places this weekend, but after that I am going to just take to the streets myself and look around for rental signs... Thanks for the advice!
