First of all, welcome to this humble(?) blog; I hope you find help here in all your questions as it seems you have concerning kids.

I moved a few times as a kid....  east side, west side NYC, Queens. the Island, Hudson Valley, Chgo., Knox, Sill, Belvoir, Bamberg, Dippach, Graf....  and look I am still sane?  

Love kids; visiting my only kid in Kansas right now.  Kid?  35 and a doctor?  Still my kid... tho.  Haven't seen Dorothy yet or a tornado...

You guys all better get together at a park or something; I know a extended family in TJ that have younger and very smart kids and bi-lingual and cute.  Want to invite them too?  All kids are cute.

Kids LOVE security!  And they eventually seek their independence at their own pace.

You will do fine as it seems you are a very intelligent Mom.  As well as the others that previously contributed.

Do the kids speak Spanish? Do they go to school in TJ or San Diego? There ARE some members here that have kids. My Hubby has his boys living with us. They are ages 13 and 16. The only issue with them is that is they speak primarily Spanish with little English. They are learning, and the 16 year old has been with us longer so he can understand more English. We try to get them to watch more English TV and also learn from us, but since their Dad is fluent in both languages and they go to school here in TJ, they choose Spanish, their English is kinda put on the back burner. I comunicate with them in sort of a Spanglish.
Tell the kids to hang in there, things will look up, also see if you can get them to try to learn some Spanish if you can.

Hello everybody, i have been a member for a while and i can now officially say i live in TJ, my name is Mauricio (although not mexican but my wife is), my family and i decided to move to mexico to see if this is were we want to live when i retire.
I would live some advise and places to go visit, i don't drink, smoke or do drugs and really not interested in night life, but more family oriented places, we love eating out, outdoor activities, i like motorcycle racing and would be interested in finding out where to race. My kids don't have friends yet and they sure miss their buddies, so maybe a club or something like it where kids can interact, around my house is a place called Club Britania, maybe someone can tell me how that place is. we are also very active and enjoy sports maybe a good gym, anyways i appreciate the replies and hopefully enjoy my stay in TJ and who knos maybe become a permanent resident.
