If you decide on public school for your son in San Diego, you will have to register him with a physical residential address there and have a U.S. phone number you can be readily reached at.

There are some private primary and secondary education schools in Tijuana that have bilingual Spanish/English class instruction.

Or he can order one through the Registro Civil deptarment at the Palacio Municipal (city hall) in Tijuana, which will take longer.

So my mom moved to Rosarito about 5 months ago to be close to me and my family. They rented a cozy little house close to the ocean. So pretty much ever since they got here there has been one problem or another with the house but the owner has been great about taking care of all the issues. One major issue was the plumbing. For about 6 weeks their lives where disrupted while 50% of the floors where dug up to fix the drains and connect them to the city line that has never been done for some reason or another. Now of the water could drain throughout the house and it smelled like raw sewage. Seriously, it took your breathe away just to go in the house. The guy who did the work was amazing and did a great job. The landlord had a condo that they could use while under construction, but it was a PIA because all there services like cable, internet, pets, clothes so on and so on where in the house. Anyway it worked out, but about 2 weeks later the water was shut off because at the top of the street a pipeline was exposed from all the rain and burst so someone shut off everyones water until they could figure out whose line it was. It wasn't my mom's but when they turned the water back on, a pipe in the BR broke and the water pressure was about a third of what it had been. So the plumber came back to fix it, but the pressure never came back. So she mentioned to the owner that he should call the water company and find out what the problem was but didn't never heard back. So this Thursday the water went off again, so they walked up to the meter to investigate and the meter had been turned off and the bill attached. It was 25,000 pesos!!!!!!! For one month. It went from 370 to 25k! We just had to laugh because it is insane. There is another broken pipe under the house that is now collasping the entire back patio. The water has just been gushing for weeks. It has sunk about 4 inches from the rest of the foundation. The landlord told her to go the the water company and explain what happened. She was like NO!, I don't even speak Spanish, you deal with it and I sure as hell am not paying the bill. His attorney is now working on it and the plumber is back to fix it, but they have no water for who knows how long. Now, it is to decide to just break the lease and move or try to stick it out. I'm anxious to see how this all works out. I feel terrible that this had been their experience too because the last thing I want to happen is that they get fed up with the way things are and say peace.
