Mardi Gras in Ensenada - My husband and I have been several times and we have always had a lot of fun. There is music everywhere, a parade on Sat, Sun and on Tue - it is suppose to start at 2pm but we have never seen it be on time. There are confetti eggs, good food, lots of people, a carnavel with rides for kids and some adults......some people dress in costume.Fat Tuesday is the day that most of the people drink a little too much so I probably wouldn't take my kids to the parade on that day but the weekend will be filled with families. There are two things to be aware of 1.) parking is usaully hard so pick some place safe in a parking lot that you pay for and you won't be sorry. And 2.) Coming north through the toll on the couta is a bear. The military check point is very close to the north side of the toll booth so it backs up. It moves slowly, you just need to be patient.
