Hello Ya'll!  I want to know how long the line at the border normally is If I plan on working in SD and live in Tijuana what should I expect. Is the san ysidro border quicker than the Otay border?

Looking forward to your replies. thankyou

Try this website:  http://www.lalineaen...om/default.aspx

Basic registration is free and while it is a little busy to navigate, once you're logged in you can immediately decide whether the Garita Otay or Garita San Ysidro is the better way to leave Mexico. I just don't know how updated the info is.

You're a little off. It's at 9th & Revolución.

Vittorio's has the best fresh pasta in town.  Their lunch specials that run until 3 pm are better-priced, including the lasagna combo.  The lasagna is only about 1/4 less the size as the dinner-size serving and about 40 pesos less.

Y'know, you're right. I so seldom went into downtown for anything except Vittorio's and the Hospital Piedad a Calle Tres across from the park that I forgot Agua Caliente changed to Revolucion.

I understand that the owner of Vittorio's is actually an Italian lady who lives on the other side and uses recipes that her parents brought over from Italy. Don't know if either is true but it makes for a nice story. My wife used that think that Giuseppe's up by Agua Caliente and Guanajuato was the bees knees until I took her to Vittorio's. Also Gino's Pizza in Plaza Rio is not bad for a quick cheap meal. And I already mentioned that restaurant in the AM/PM plaza beyond the Pemex where one of the Nopali's used to be. All of those beat Giuseppi's hands down.

they have san diego network feeds. they also have espn in espanol as well as the regular US feed.
cablemas does not currently offer HD channels or any type of digital recorders.

they have a full channel line up on their website.

peace

I had gone to their site earlier, which prompted my question. They show the network logos but don't indicate whethe it's the Mexican or the American version. I don't want to pay for ESPN and get a bunch of futbol games and no futbol Americano, NCAA style.

Secondly, the offer a less expensive package with only 40 cable channels but don't indicate which of the 60 you lose if you elect the less expensive version.

I don't care so much about HD. My kid has it at his house with Dish Network and I can't really tell the difference although he insists there is.

Tamale Inn in Rosarito best breakfast. American style food. Excellent and cheap.
Thats Amore In Rosarito is like eating in Italy.  Great food.
No great steakhouse or chinese food found in Rosarito yet.
Best Tacos at "las Cabos" (across from Red Cross Thrift Shop) .

Thanks for the tips on good Rosarito eating. Is Tamale Inn that much better than Nido's?

I look forward to sampling both the Tamale Inn and That's Amore when Claudia and I are both back in TJ

Anyone got it / use it? I have my FM3. Is that all it takes to qualify? Herd it's $200./yr. Whats the application / qualification process?

I've heard that one is eligible with a Mexican resident visa immediately. I've also heard that there is a multi-year waiting period after having established residence.

There's an IMSS office near the Grand Tijuana Hotel. Someday when you have time (bureaucratic wait) go there and ask. Better yet, take a Spanish-speaking friend with you for clear instructions.

In my age group it will be $300. But $200 sounds right if you're younger.
