Yes that was a very nice well rounded update. Ok, im game. Moved here back in December 2008 from Las Vegas. Lived there for 14yrs and then most of my life in O.C. I had it up to here with all the laws, rules, do's and don'ts. I needed a change, recharge. And Mexico does it for me. Lost 30+lbs, reduced my stress levels and i believe im healthier in many many years. I am 54 young. And nobody comes close to guessing my age, some people are born young i guess.
One thing i must say about reading above is this. I guess it's a added rant. I live in Colonia Independencia, TJ. And what i have is noise pollution! From loud speakers on cars -Tamales con queso to Esufas to Z-gas honking their horns many times a day(one morning, they came thru my street 5 times before noon). Also, since i still have the mic, the church bells(speakers), just a half-a-block away from my trying to sleep at 6am ears. Ok im done, feel better.
Right now i like where i live, one day i'll move, economy dictates. I do have a million dollar view, for 200 bucks, seeing all SD, just beautiful.
I love Mexico. It's different. Lived in Europe also, very fun. I'll probably be buried here, in some 50 more years, haha.
Mexico is not perfect, nor was the USA, what country is. But i can tell ya, you couldn't pay me to go back.
There are some really nice people here, the more south you go that is.
Take care all, and thanks to TijuanaBlog for this site.
ciao

Congrats on coming home. My sister and I live in Punta de Mita just north of Puerto Vallarta and want to move to the Baja next spring. We would like to be closer to the border now that we are receiving medicare and don't want to pay for insurance anymore.
We are looking for something close to the beach, maybe Rosarito, in the 500 to 700 range. We each need a bedroom and bath and we have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Can you suggest a place to look, agency, newspaper, etc? I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.
