Just thought I'd chime in... I have been living here for approximately 1 month now, and have had my purse stolen (green card and all ID gone, so now I have to pay close to $400 to replace my green card before I can cross) and 3 days later we had our truck stolen and luckily recovered. If we had arrived any later, even 5-10 seconds the truck would have been gone and never recovered. Now it sits in front of our house with no front rims because the jerk that stole it drove it off-road while being chased by the cops. He blew both front tires and completely destroyed the rims.. We are still not sure what other damage has been done to the suspension. I do like it here though, the cost of living makes it worth the risk.. and I have just learned some big lessons. Now I know I just have to be paranoid all the time
