Tacos REME

17 February 2009 - 09:16 PM

Very nice family restaraunt with very good prices and quality food. If you are looking for the fancy laid out food this is NOT the place for you. But if a good tasting, inexpensive place with food that will NOT get you sick is your thing. This MAY BE the place your looking for. I recommend the Huaraches and Stuffed Pepper Tacos. You can have a dinner of two huaraches, two tacos and a soda or coffee for about $4.50 American.
I was just told over the weekend that the restaruarnt will be closing, however they have a seafood cart on the corner and a "Lonchera" on 9th (Calle Allende) just west of Constitucion that will be serving. Please stop by and check out the food before it is GONE. (2 March 2009)
It appears that the place will be open for about one month more. They are fighting to keep it open. Please stop by and give your opinions.

An Introduction

17 February 2009 - 08:44 PM

Hi! My name is Robert (Bob) and I have been going to and living in Tijuana since 1982. I have lived in Tijuana for over six years in that time. I have LOTS of experience with MANY different areas of Tijuana life. One example is a recent trip to Rosarito by taxi for 14 pesos each way as opposed to $14 Dollars on the Big Red Bus or a Rip-off Taxi of $20 Dollars or more. 14 Pesos at the time was just over a dollar (something like $1.08). My companion was duly impressed when the taxi driver tried to pull one over on us and realized that I knew EXACTLY what he could charge and I wasn't paying one peso more. Those taxis are located between Third and Fourth on Av. Madero, one block east of Av. Revolucion. If anyone has any questions I would be happy to give my best answer.
